Honestly, when I first came to this shop, I was impressed by the options. They had vegan milk which most bubble tea places DON'T have. So if you love Thai tea, but are lactose intolerant this is a great place to go.
Of the 4x we've gone, we've had a nice experience. When we spoke to the owner, it was probably our most memorable because he was personable, attentive, sociable and had a great way of connecting with his customers. I think many of the younger generations have a hard time being able to wrap their minds around the fact that they are selling their personality as well when you serve. People want to engage with kind, approachable individuals. There have been a couple time where the servers weren't as pleasant. Sure small talk is difficult, but it is a skill that can take you far. 😉 To stay in business is to sell an experience and a personality. As much as I hate acknowledging it, it's the truth. Your warmth affects how customers interact with your sales. If you make it a great place to be at, many people return. Just a kind tip to those who work this line of job. You don't have to be best friends with your customer, but treat them like you want them to return. 😃 And I know it may not be your ideal job as a youth, but remember the principle, if you can do well in this service job, you can succeed at anything you put your mind to. 😉 In terms of the teas, the fruit teas are my favorite. The Thai tea is my favorite, cause they brew it and don't use powders, which I personally prefer. All their fruit teas and teas are all brewed/steeped. I enjoyed the grapefruit, the 🦋 butterfly tea, and the peach was...
Read moreI wanted to love this place.
First, it is a cute little shop located in the strip mall. My GPS directions led me to pizza place but I did end up seeing the sign for Xo. I would give it a 5 star for cute decorations but honestly this is more of a carryout location. There may be seating for like two people but when I came the employees were already sitting in those spots.
Second, compared to other boba tea places the value is not there for me. The Medium is more like a small think maybe 12 oz. So if your used to huge milk teas/ fruit teas then you are going to want to order a large or extra large. For me the value was just not there for the product recieved.
Third, the taste of my honeydew milk tea was off. I do not think the proportions of powder to liquid was right. I almost feel like too much powder was used in my drink not making it very tasty at all. Also, I love, love, love boba but these tapioca pearls also seemed to be lacking in flavor but the texture was on point. The texture of the boba is what you could expect from boba.
Overall, the this place was fast, the people were friendly but I am not sold on the honeydew milk tea. Maybe the fruit teas are where this...
Read moreWe like to come to this bubble shop every time we come to town & country. So I would say 2 to 3 times a month. And I would say it's a bit better than most places around. When I get a strawberry banana smoothie they actually cut up bananas and put it in there which is great. Today however we had a really not okay experience. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and the person I was with got Taro milk tea. We both got brown sugar crystal boba. And the Boba was hot mush. There was no texture to it it was like eating paste. Before we left we informed the lady who was working there that there was something wrong with the Boba I said there's no pop to it she said well it's not popping boba. I said I know that I was like but there's no texture it is mush. I even asked her to taste it herself but she seemed disinterested. We ended up throwing our drinks away because every time we got a sip of That Boba it was like a textural nightmare. Pretty disappointing for an $8 drink. So if you're the owner reading this check on your Boba and in the future have your employee offered a...
