Have been coming to this location for about 2 years now. Food has been great , service has been great, however in my last 3 visits ( once a week) I've bee experiencing issues at this location. 1st issue was a simple mistake . Drink in ordered was a regular coke. Ended up getting a diet coke. Didn't think too much of it untill I got home and found that no utensils were in the bag. Second time seemed like every thing was ok but I double checked before leaving and found that no straws were provided. So I called the store asked for some straws to be brought out. And then today. Today was the last straw... We decided to do curbside . We have in the past as to avoid long lines at the drive through. We checked in around 12 30 today. Normally we see our order come out in about 10 mins. Today that was not the case. 20 mins went by. the store seemed really busy so I chalked it up to that being the reason. Another 10 mins go by and still nothing ( 30 mins total) I decided I should call the store to see if there was an issue. I'm glad I did as the associate who took my call could not find my name on their screen. So I gave them my order number . With that information she was able to see that yes I had placed and payed for the order and had been there for now 35 minutes. She told me they would start on the order right away. Then another 10 minutes later (45 total) an associate comes out with our order. I think to myself finally! Yet that was not the end. We checked out the order to make sure everything was there. All the food was there but guess wasn't in the bag 🤔 you guessed it. STRAWS . no straws . So again I find myself having to flag down an employee to get some straws . We get back home ready to eat. Go to open the plastic utensil packages only to find that somehow some way one of the packages didn't have a fork in it . Luckily we save extras so we had one to replace it but today has been an experience that's for sure. Food is always excellent. Service has been steadily deteriorating over time we...
Read moreI just had lunch at Chik-fil-A in Kettering, OH (480 E. Stroop rd). I sat down to eat when an older gentleman, "Dick," (employee) approached me. He had a broom in hand and was sweeping the floors. He asked if he could refill my drink. As I hadn't even taken a sip yet I politely declined. 15 minutes later Dick returned. "Can I clear your trash and refill your drink?" As I was indeed finished I accepted his offer. He grabbed my trash and disposed it and walked into the back with his broom. I figured maybe he forgot about the drink. No, he soon returned empty handed confirmed the drink order and returned with a full cup.
"Thank you for having lunch with us," he said with a smile. I looked at him and said "My pleasure. Any time. What's your name?" (I couldn't see his badge; he had it on it was just obscured just enough). He answered, asked my name, and asked if I worked around here. I told him I did and he said, "Well we hope to see you again soon."
I can't recall the woman's name who took my order but she was equally as kind and professional.
I told a manager, "That man is a fantastic employee. An absolute pleasure."
She agreed with me.
I received better service at a fast food restaurant than most sit down restaurants.
Thank you, Chik-Fil-A, for embodying principles and values that permiate every aspect of your business and is seen in the actions of your employees. I'm in my early 30s and Dick was a "seasoned" gentleman ☺. The older generation often doesn't like us millennials - for good reason.
Not Dick. If he does harbor these feelings I wonder what it would be like to be someone he...
Read moreWorst location ever! First off employee shortage is no excuse because there were 5 employees plus a manager working inside. Only one car in the drive thru and one customer ahead of me in line trying to place her order. The employee taking her order wears sunglasses inside, doesn’t smile or say my pleasure and took forever to finish the customers order. Then, she leaves her station and doesn’t come back. Five more minutes passes and no one comes so I leaned over the counter and asked if someone was going to take orders. One if them said one if his team members would be right with me. No one comes. Finally, manager comes out of the kitchen and asked me if I had been helped. I said no and that I had been waiting a long time. He had to instruct one of the employees to come and take my order. Also, there was a customer trying to eat her hot breakfast sandwich in the restaurant but brought her coffee back because it it was ice cold. She had to wait the entire time I did to get her coffee. The crew at this location is especially bad during breakfast hours. I have gone to the location three miles away on Wilmington and driven back and there are still the same cars in the drive thru. My thought is it has to be the owner of this location because they just haven’t lived up to Chick Filet’s standards since the day...
