I went to Panera Bread cafe today and was disappointed once again. They did not have the bread that went with the sandwich I ordered. This is the second time in the last month or two that this has happened. I am allowed to pay even and then as I'm waiting they tell me they do not have the tomato basil bread; I had to have my card refunded because I could not have the sandwich they sold me. I do not understand what it is about this location but this seems to be an issue for them. One time is a fluke, a one-off situation. But twice is poor order/baking management.
Additionally, the staff is completely unsympathetic and seemed miffed that I would want a refund. This was not surprising as the staff moments earlier was taking the order or a woman with three kids. One of the kids was dancing back and forth singing and the cashier leaned down to her and condescendingly said "you're REALLY loud." The poor mother looked mortified. How unkind can someone be? Not to mention this was a male manager I believe.
I love Panera Bread, but it seems that I will only get the service EVERY customer deserves if I suck it up and drive to the location 20 minutes away instead of the location 7...
Read moreTypical Panera, with well prepared fresh food. They get 2 stars docked because they always seem to be out of items. I've tried to order from here twice, and been told (by the Panera website) that they're out of something in my order. But what prompted me to actually rate this store was the last time I was in there with my wife. We each ordered the pick two. After a few minutes I was called up and told that they were out of Romaine. Fine, I asked for the seasonal greens. Another few minutes pass and they call me up again, only to find out that they called me up not to serve me but that they were out of bread for my sandwich. Granted, they tried to make it right by offering me a pastry, but it was something like 1:30-2 in the afternoon. They should not be out of that much stuff that early in the afternoon. I appreciate that they make things fresh and run out, but this wasn't the first time I was unable to get what I wanted to get from this store.
If you have the option, go to the location just down Stroop at the Greene, it's just better and not far from...
Read moreI have had issues with my membership ever since I moved to Ohio. We don't have Panera cards in California . I've been at this location 4 times now. I was last told by this man that he wouldn't take my order, then he didn't give me his name. He had a green baseball cap on. This place is SO tacky and unprofessional. I told the lady taking orders'" please don't call me love". It's not professional, and it's horribly tacky. Or babe or honey would work either. Call someone by their given name or Maam. The guy said " she can call you whatever she wants". No, she can't! She couldn't hear me on speaker, so I told her up I'm going to pull up & give you my email. This is when the devil showed up and told me he would not be taking my order. I left without an order & got home & spoke to corporate. I am just disappointed that the closet Panera to me is full of coachroaches of ppl that work there..I never had a problem before & a girl helped me. She...
