Local Color — Local services in Key West

This local shop is one of our new favorite places to visit! The couple that owns this place are super nice and we ended up talking with them for about an hour. We found out that a lot of the jewelry they have in their shop has come from their travels from around the world. They took time out to help us find some jewelry for our anniversary dinner and recommenced some wonderful items to take back for our kids. Also while we were there we talked to them about the impact on Covid and the amendment that was just passed that will now keep the a majority of the cruise lines out of their port and what will happen next. They were very concerned about all businesses surviving...If you are in Key West PLEASE support all local shops/businesses!

I see that the comment below by Sharon that shows the lady was rude, but obviously not wearing a mask is a huge thing down in Key West and shop owners can get fined or shut down by not complying. Sorry, if you are having issues with your mask, there are PLENTY of masks for sell that will fit any...

Was told silver tribal jewelry was pure silver.. Lady said it was dull because it was old silver and hard to find...spent $1000 on the tribal jewlery only to find out it was "tibetan silver" which is not silver at all and contains tin and lead and other various metals that can get you sick. None of the chains we're stamped .999 or .925 which shows the authenticity of silver so please don't buy silver if it doesn't have a stamp. Necklaces left rashes on my neck and kids necks. Tibetan silver have been banned from certain sites because it contains lead. Silver is $14 an ounce today. For them to sell this stuff as supposedly real silver at ridiculously high prices is just crazy...I am ready to send this jewelry back for a refund. Just because people are on vacation does not mean you have to...

I’m sorry, but there was no reason to be rude! I had looked online before we even got to Key West, and I knew what I wanted and from where I would purchase it. Immediately, upon walking into the door of the store, the lady behind the counter screamed at myself and my friend about putting our masks. We had our masks in our hand and my friend said “I have my mask in my hand” and she told her that she saw it in her face but she wanted to see it on her face! We overlooked that comment but then when my mask slid down beneath my nose she told me I had to pull it up. I told her I was having a hard time with it and she said that I would need to step outside. I left there and went and made my purchase somewhere else for $479. There is no reason to be...
