We just got back from the weekend at this hotel and I hate to say this but we were extremely disappointed. We booked a suite but it was just a room with an extra room attached to it nothing special the bathroom was so tiny that the door hit your knees when you sat on the toilet my husband did not even fit in the bathroom the bathroom was so tiny that the sink and mirror were in the bedroom which I don't care for. The floors were ripped up and extremely old they needed to be redone the furniture was old and literally had a piece of tape on it and none of the windows opened in the room. The pillows in the room look like they came from the dollar store and we're extremely old at least by pretty pillows if you can't afford to redo the hotel.. we went by the pool to use the towels and they smelled like cigarettes. The grounds were extremely old there was giant cracks by the pool in the ground the pool was dirty the fountain going into the pool was so dirty this whole entire place needs a makeover we spent over $1,000 staying here..not worth it!!! I would give this hotel one star I don't really know what everybody is talking about when they say it's wonderful because it's not and if you go there you'll see what I'm talking about the breakfast was also not great the coffee wasn't good and there was just cereal and a couple of muffins I've stayed at another place where they make waffles bacon juices ... the other thing is it's on a very busy two lane Street and if you know Key West it's very quaint and beautiful and quiet in the town and I like to stay on a quiet street but this was not quiet you could barely even pull out of the place parking is also a nightmare in the parking lot is $50 a night that is down the street from this hotel the only good thing about it was they let us Park our golf cart there so we didn't have to look for a spot every nigh. Would I stay at this hotel again absolutely not there are so many other beautiful places to stay and I honestly do not know how anybody gave this five stars maybe they like tape on the furniture ripped up floors and run down buildings...
Read moreMyself and 2 sisters all around 40ish stayed 6 nights in the queen sweet. The desk guy was awesome and the property is gorgeous. That being said I wouldn't visit again or reccomend. Because: The room was up a flight of old wood creaky stairs past every room inside the main building. The rooms private entrance was actually a community entrance located at the top of the creaky stairs it was up stairs either way you go so be warned. The TV is on the wall right next to the door so it can't be too loud. We had gotten a noise complaint and warning of cops and a fine if happened again. If you're not going to bed at 11pm do NOT stay here it is impossible to be quiet. We had to request housekeeping after the 3rd day and it seemed uncustomary, yet there was a tip envelope for it left on the dresser the day we arrived? The library/lounge wasnt available to guests. There is no freezer in the mini fridge but ice buckets and signs for an ice machine .. but NO ice machine. Instead of onsite breakfast, vouchers are given for the bakery down the street only open from 7am-3pm in the opposite direction of everything else so it was out of the way and they were never used. One of the 2 pools were heated so no one wanted to use it obviously, the fountain wasnt even operating. There were lights wrapped around the palm trees on the property that would have been beautiful if they were ever turned turned ON. So in my opinion unless you're single or a couple of 60+ this isn't the place for you...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting Key West and we were not sure what to expect. I came across this hotel and decided to give it a try and it was amazing!!! It's a small hotel but has enough space in the back for two pools (one small and one medium) and some areas to chill and a beautiful garden area connected to the pool. They have Free fresh water and ice 24/7 for all guests. Laundry available (you have to pay for it) if you choose the room cleaning service they are amazing and super respectful with your stuff. We were very pleased and grateful for that. The rooms are pretty big and the beds are super comfortable! I have a problem sleeping on hotel beds and this was a great time! The rooms have a small fridge and microwave. Ours had a sofa bed. The bathroom is really nice and clean. Overall very impressed with the rooms too. They give you breakfast vouchers to try the local bakery shop (half a block away) and it's really good! There is no parking for cars and like 1 or 2 spots for golf carts, so the best bet is renting bicycles (there is a shop half a block away where you can rent them). As they do have a decent area to park your bicycles. All the staff was very friendly. The location is great and fairly close walking/biking distance to many restaurants and other attractions. 15-20min bicycle ride from Ft. Zack (the beach). We really liked this gem and we will go back and stay there when we go back to the keys. I highly...
