I'm glad to see more inventory in Belks located here .. but sadly it appears that the Covid practicing is gone in most places I saw opened in the Dare Centre".. that is a shame ,for people like myself " who has artificial heart valves and chronic health conditions" , (for I have been advised by my cardiologist who did my heart surgery)to not get innoculated with the Covid shots for it could endanger my health more.. so I still can catch Covid or the new strain, and I know I'm not the only customer who can't be immunized, as well.. Dare County has shown we already have had at last check a few people who have been diagnosed with Covid and this was After not before...they were given the 2 shots immunization... so it's still a hazard..( maybe not as severe or as scary to people as of a few months ago),but for a 52 year old woman who knows I cannot afford to catch it or it could risk or even take my life, it's a disappointment.. yes, those in a couple shops/stores are wearing mask, but there not keeping things sanitized nor keeping others 6feet apart ... I went into Belks, and was upset to see that other patrons totally ignored the 6ft stickers on the floor, and one woman was hacking and coughing on me to the point... I had to step out of line to prevent myself being put at risk.. also I was going to check out a few other stores but upon walking by and looking in, I saw no mask, no careful preventives being done.. as a local who would myself at the "least mindful of others".. I wish others could be considerate also for if I noticed someone masked, I would not get to there elbow, wouldn't cough on them,( which I had happen while shopping Belks, and as a store owner/manager I would not be ignorant and would at least sanitize or have hand sanitizer available for those who may be at risk....for its only ignorance to act like this pandemic is gone.. so I definitely will not be in Belks again, not now at least.. nor the other shops located in the Dare Centre.. I will add as a afterthought that I appreciate that Food Lion is still attempting to keep customers safe, and had sanitizer and more careful mindfulness of those like myself..for that I say"...

Read moreI hate to say it but my experience at Belk was not the best. Positive notes about the visit were that the store was very clean and arranged so that there was plenty of walking space for customers. The rest, is all negative. Employees working that day were not very pleasant and the prices are way too high. One of the ladies in my party did end up buying something and was able to download a coupon. Even after the coupon she still ended up walking out of there spending more than I thought her...
