Food Lion — Local services in Kill Devil Hills

So tonight I went to pick up my elderly parents food order at kill Devil hills store and i pulled into the pick up parking spot and called the number on the sign. I called it twice with no answer and the third time an actual person picked up and said I don’t have anyone to bring it out to you after 8 o’clock. I said it’s 8:04 he said I don’t have anyone to bring it out to you after 8 o’clock. So I went inside and he had the three bags sitting on the counter which I retrieved. He looked to be 25 or 30. I am 65. This was an order for my parents in their 80s. I’m just glad I was around to pick it up, plus, a lot of people use this service because they are unable to go inside and shop. The service in summer tourist season can be hectic, the student oversea' workers can be rude, make many mistakes , { so pay attention as they are checking you out} but.. off season, is 100degree change. Your workers are more friendly, and helpful. And even during the summer season, only the awesome incentives, coupons and money back on your receipts make it worth shopping. And if the year round managers are there, they will go out of there way to take care of any situations, I say thank you , especially as I have a hard time shopping because of chronic health issues. Cranky people ALL THE TIME. Not only do they not talk to you but they have attitude most of the time when having to answer a question or anything else! This goes for all the food lion locations. I've never had great service here all the times I've been and I'm a local. I only go here for the low prices. It's one thing to not talk, that's fine whatever, but to have attitude. Really? Harris Teeter and Publix is so much better and probably always will be if food lion staff doesn't step up their game.
