Absolutely blown away by the new ramen spot in the Outer Banks. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and comforting. Truly a bowl worth coming back for. We also tried the fried octopus appetizer, calamari, and fried chicken, and every single bite was perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The Oreo cheese bubble tea? Phenomenal. A total surprise hit and the perfect sweet finish to the meal.
We were also impressed with how kid-friendly the space is. The staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the menu had plenty of approachable options for younger eaters. It’s always a win to find a place where both adults and kids can enjoy a delicious and adventurous meal together.
We're so grateful to have spaces like this that bring authentic, thoughtfully prepared cuisine into our community. Food is such a powerful connector of culture and people, and we deeply appreciate the heart and effort this family puts into every dish.
They also own one of our favorite sushi spots on the beach, Sanya, so it’s no surprise this new venture is just as exceptional.
Big congratulations to this family on their continued success. We’re lucky to have you here on the...
Read moreDecided to stop here shortly after it opened last week after visiting the Wright Brothers Memorial.
I was able to take a seat immediately and they took my order quickly.
The tea was very pleasant and fruity.
The takoyaki was delicious. Just remember these suckers are meant to be piping hot, which these were, so be careful when eating them so as not to burn your mouth. I tend to tear a hole in them to let some steam escape first before eating.
Finally the ramen was extremely good. The chashu pork in the ramen was incredible. I could eat an entire bowl of just that pork. The broth was savory. The eggs were perfectly jammy in the middle. I ate everything and even finished off the broth.
I was stuffed after this meal and immediately fell asleep upon getting back to where we were staying. I don't think I woke up for about 4 hours lmao.
The staff was also incredibly friendly.
Would definitely...
Read moreWow, Hokkaido Ramen absolutely blew us away! First off, their Thai tea/Boba Tea selection is impeccable – and let me tell you, it’s the good Thai tea (none of that fake, watered-down stuff). Service was excellent too; we were seated super quickly and taken care of right away.
The food was AMAZINGGG. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of authentic Japanese food at a tourist destination, but my god… the takoyaki was SO fire, the chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, and my husband said his Chashu Don was exceptional. We were both super impressed.
For two Thai teas, the karaage, taiyaki, and Chashu Don, the total came to about $50 – which we thought was really reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
Definitely check them out and support this spot – you...
