My natural nails are ruined and will be for months because of this place.
Iāve waited some time to give this review but I went to get acrylics done a little bit ago, I was a walk in, they sat me immediately with a man who seemed like doing my nails was torture to him. He sat and sighed every 2 seconds like it was a punishment. I showed him what I wanted and he said he could do it (I wanted lavender nails and an accent finger with vines)
I had never gotten acrylics before so I didnāt know exactly what to expect. I showed up and my natural nails were already long. He did not trim them at all. He just applied the fake nail tip to them as is.
We does the acrylic process and the nails are completely crooked. Nothing is straight or the same length. We get to the design and he makes it up. He started doing the basic 5 dot flower pattern. I told him thatās not what I asked for and then he said he couldnāt do what I wanted. I told them itās fine and I didnāt need any design, he said he could do it. He tries again and attempts the vines but was unable to do it. I said not to worry about it and Iām happy with just lavender nails.
I walk out and get into my car and investigate the nails. There are air bubbles, hairs, scratches, and lumps all over my nails. He never smoothed over the acrylics after he put them on and didnāt pay attention to the shape. They were some of the worst looking nails Iāve ever seen (and mind you there was no design on them to hide the issues)
I call them after getting home saying i and major issues with them and it was not worth the $70 plus tip. The owner picked up and she told me to come back in.
She was very helpful and did the best she could, she sat me down with a different technician who fixed my nails. She also did the best she could with the given circumstances she had to work with. They were better but still crooked and after a couple days some bubbles popped up.
Then my day to day activities were painful. The way the nails were put on put so much pressure on my actual nails it caused a lot of pain to use my nails for anything.
Today I decided to take off the acrylics. I filed them down and soaked them in acetone. I look down at my nails and they are dug into because of the awful dremeling job that was done. There are huge dips and cuts into my natural nail that should not be there.
I know acrylic is pretty bad for your natural nails, I didnāt expect them to come out the other end super healthy, but u didnāt expect for my natural nails to be cut into so badly.
I tried this place as a trial for a special occasion and it completely disappointed. I really appreciate the owner and the technician who helped fix my nails but the original guy who did my nails ruined it all for me. After talking to some people that seems like a common experience with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my go to spot when i want to be pampered and this is not easy to write. The other day (for the first time in a long time) i sat down in the pedicure chair with a friend of mine. I requested the $45 collagen treatment for both of us as my husband got me $150 gift certificate for our eight year anniversary that i needed to use up (Mind you, I do not pamper myself much). Not only did the two gentlemen try to upsell us multiple times very violently, but one laughed in my face when I had to finally say after their 4 attempts that i just wanted the $45 pedicures for both not the $50 pedicures. My friends nail tech laughed at me afterwards, but continued doing her pedicure professionally (so i can forgive that one). I, unfortunately had, the honor of getting the one nail tech with the attitude (my luck) who was rushing the whole thing and being rough in the whole process (Was super rude and super unprofessional). Afterwards, he was asking how I wanted to pay and I told him I had a gift card (That my husband paid them cash for). So I went to use the rest for a tip (that would've been a $60 tip for the gentleman even though he sucked), But he proceeded to tell me the owner would not allow the cash My husband had given them for a gift card included the tip. While my toes were still wet he recommended I walk To the ATM close by so I can bring the tip back (Felt very Intimidated and very bullied into giving him a tip honestly). I told him I'm not walking there I will go to the bank where I'm not charged a fee to get cash. He continued to go outside to smoke a cigarette and what I assumed watched me to make sure I was going to get the money, after that experience and thinking about it I was not coming back to give him a tip nor will I be back to use the rest of that gift card. $150 down the drain, if anybody has any recommendations of polite nail tech I would love it because this was such an intimidating experience from start to finish. I do not get my nails done often so I am not used to this type of atmosphere but I'm highly pissed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't go here. I went to this salon with a friend for a mani pedi, worst experience I've ever had at a salon. The fact that they blatantly ask you how much of a tip you want to leave before they even swipe your card is a pretty good indicator of what kind of service you'll receive here. They have to make you feel awkward just so they can get a tip. It's terrible. Did I mention that they charge you an extra $20 just to do gel on a pedicure?
When we got there, it was busy. Once we were called back to get in the pedi chairs, we sat in there for 20 minutes (not a joke or exaggeration) before someone even came over to put water in the soaker or ask us if we wanted a drink. As soon as they filled it with water, they were ready to start the pedicure. The whole point behind the soaking is to give the skin time to soften up. That doesn't happen in the 2 mins our feet were in water.
They did my friend's pedi first, then as they were almost done, they started on my feet. And the pedicure? I had to point out 3 different places to the girl that needed to be buffed more.
Which still would have been fine, except the guy let my friend know that when she was ready, he'd give her the manicure. They were not busy at this point. Just to clarify, there were empty chairs up front and no one waiting for a manicure.
So my friend and I were talking while the girl was doing my pedi and he came back to my friend (it hadn't even been a few mins since he told her that his chair was empty the first time) and again said his chair was empty. The whole point behind going with a friend is to actually do it together. Why did he need to rush her to the front? No one was waiting.
So she goes to the front and he seats her where I can't sit next to her to get a manicure. After my pedicure finished I just wanted to pay and not do a manicure, my friend was almost done with hers. They pointed me to a chair and I said I'd rather just pay, that I didn't want a mani. They didn't let me pay until my friend was done. Just don't go...
