Rent-A-Center — Local services in Kingsport

I am completely disgusted with RAC.

I will admit I am always late. But I ALWAYS pay. My wife and I had resolved to send our iPad back.

On March 12, 2024, the driver from the Kingsport, TN store came to collect, as is his right.

I was in the restroom at around 2:40 EDT.

The guy was banging on my door and constantly ringing. Saying “Answer for me or the sheriff’s department. The choice is yours.”

I went and called the store as I didn’t want to talk to the driver. I made an arrangement to pay for March 13.

Finally as it didn’t look like he was going to leave I handed the iPad back to the driver.

I told him I made an arrangement for the other stuff.

I then asked him to please leave. The driver then laughed in my face and said I needed to answer the door and that he knew I was hiding multiple times. I told him most of the time I am at work. He laughed in my face again. I also told him that if I don’t answer the door then he should leave as he is not invited. He became defiant and said he didn’t have to.

I then walked towards him and pointed my finger telling him to leave. He then said I was trying to assault him and he had a witness. I yelled for him to leave and that I was reporting him.

I contacted the store and complained.

My wife and I lost our baby several weeks ago and things are hectic at the present moment.

The name of driver is Zack.

That is not the way you speak to customers.

I trust this issue will be addressed...

This was my first time using your service & I must say that it was by far the easiest process that I have ever had to deal with as far as retail stores go. Leslie was there with me holding my hand pretty much from the start to finish the whole way you know and she she worked with my schedule and was so easy to talk to and made me understand everything clearly and easily the first time and the whole process was a breeze. I went to your Kingsport Tennessee store and Leslie was like she's a doll I feel like if not for her you're off customer ratio would not be as high as it is and she even went as far as to staying late after work two nights in a row trying to help me get all my stuff together to where I could have the paperwork turned in and all my ducks in a row so when I come in the next day all we have to do is just sign the papers and that to me just spoke volumes because she didn't have to stay she could have been doing anything else and she stayed with me and actually will not she even stayed 2 hours after work waiting on me so I feel she deserves some kind of recognition and if nothing else at least to raise because she...

It's not a tire store at all it's a place to rent to own different types of furniture and appliances. They will most likely get u what ur looking for but u don't want to get behind a payment cause they will call ur number or numbers on ur application over and over and be at ur door wanting the furniture or whatever it is back or the one payment that u have gotten behind on because of maybe an unexpected financial situation that you may have in life but it doesn't matter to them they want the payment or they will want to take what you had rented from them and they don't want to give you a chance to catch it up later or maybe a little extra at a time until you get it caught back up. No matter what your unexpected situation was that caused u to not be able to make that one payment that u got behind on. I guess they want to take it from you and sell it to someone else for probably close to the same price that u gave for it so they can get twice...
