For the most part I have good experiences, however tonight I had to run by there I arrived at 9:30 very aware that closing time is 10:00 and I had every intention of being done shopping and out before 10. After about 10 min of shopping a closing announcement was made and I understand that is to make customers aware that they are closing to start making your way to the front. I’ve worked retail, I know this process, so I know how it is for employees being ready to get off work, But I also know that a customer arriving 30 min before close or even 5 min before close should be treated the same as their first customer of the day. With that being said my sister and I both felt as though we were being watched/followed by so many associates. I understand they have to give a clearance but that should happen once the store has closed. The customers in that store technically still had 15 min of shopping time left. We (the customers) should not have had to feel uncomfortable for any reason! I had one associate ask me if I needed help, now I wish I would have gotten her name because that’s customer service, not acting like you’re a bunch of spies waiting and watching someone’s every move and walking around talking with each other because automatically the customer feels like it’s about them. Once I got to the register there were two associates standing there talking and stopped mid sentence when I got up there so obviously it wasn’t work related and more then likely was about us or the customers there. I worked retail for years and treated every customer LIKE a customer and I just get irritated when I don’t get that type of respect in return. And I also feel like making closing announcements 5 minutes apart is a bit ridiculous when we clearly had time left to shop! Employees need to realize that customers are the reason they have jobs. I understand one person don’t really matter at a store like that but it’s the stores of that size that DO treat each person like they ARE important are the stores I will choose to shop. I had just got off work a bit earlier so there weren’t many stores still open but I certainly made the...
Read moreLike any other Target but sorely lacks diversity & smiling faces in personnel and customer base. Target needs a advertising/marketing promo jolt of 'Wake Up & Smell The Coffee Your Style Ain't That Perfect To Slack Off Yet'. Your persona is stable as a household name but your vibe is boring & mundane. Stop thinking like mere Midwestern Minnesotean's resting on your laurels and spike the juice a bit! And I'm not talking another ridiculous chintzy 'Designer' Line of goods most customers cannot fit (i.e., Isaac Mizrahi). Management at this locale I would rate as C+. Goods on average well-stocked but only minimally (once gone, GONE....no replacement). Moderate-to-High Employee Retention Rate which applies to most businesses in the region considering certain biased practices involving hiring/training adhered to in the region. Sanitation: Well, definitely lacking on bathroom sanitation especially during deep cold weather months and hot warm months. In-store Sanitation & Conditions: To most customers apparently okay. But too many times goods left eschewed (in disarray) on shelves and racks and left dusty if on topmost or bottom shelving/racks. Product Choices: As mentioned above, Limited Availability. Overall, it's what regional customers are LITERALLY STUCK WITH as a retail resource and SADLY the ONLY Target in the Kingsport Metropolis area which...
Read moreI am gravely disappointed with the customer service that we received today from your store. We were assured that a product was supposed to be on the floor today after we had driven down from Virginia. We were told on Saturday that products would be out today. This product was released on July 20th, and today is currently July 28th. The product shows in stock online and that there are six currently in your store. They are not on the floor, but they are “up” in the stockroom. No one would even bother to go back and look. Could not be troubled to. Looked it up on the little handheld device and informed us that they were somewhere back in the stockroom and could not be located, but that it MAY be put on the floor on Thursday, possibly. We could come back and check then. The time and money wasted are one issue, having to travel all of the way from our home to your store. While troublesome, I think my greatest issue with your lack of customer service. It would have taken little to no time to have gone in the stockroom and actually looked for the product. Even if it had not been located, the effort could have been made aside from checking the device for the barcode. If products have not been placed on the floor for purchase, it should not be reading that you have them in...
