I went to ulta salon today. When I got there I was greeted by my stylist Gwen. I was just in for an all over color and wanted a trim off the ends. Gwen was super friendly. She told me that everyone loves coming to ulta because “ulta doesn’t care how much product you use when it comes to all over color. You could use 6-7 tubes of color and it will still be the flat rate $92.00.” Keep in mind that’s the only time she ever went over ANY pricing with me . I get my hair dyed and washed. We go back to the chair to finish up. She TRIMS my hair, I didn’t get any length taken off, no layers; nothing. My appointments over, she gives me the receipt and I go to the front to pay. The cashier said your total is $159 and did I want to add a tip.. I looked at the paper to see that I was charged $67 for a hair cut. I didn’t get a hair cut, the girl took off maybe 3 strains of hair. Since when it that considered a full blown hair cut? I take her the paper back and asked why I was charged for a hair cut when I didn’t get one but why it was 67$??? She said the price was right and that a trim is a hair cut. I said you didn’t give me a haircut. But again she’s saying a trim and a hair cut are the same. The manger comes; no help. I end still having to pay 30 some dollars for just the trim. The THREE strains of hair she took off my head. We need to do better in going over prices. That should have been done from the start. Read moreI'm leaving this review in reference to my wife Stormies review about her experience today at Ulta. 1st of all we've been shopping and getting her hair done at least 4 times a year for the past 6 years, and well to start off she's been a little sick so she has had to call and reschedule twice and today she had an appointment at 3:00pm and was running a few minutes behind and called to let them know she was in the parking lot at 3:10 and the stylist tells her she has to reschedule over less than 10 minutes late. She has been currently using lane as her stylist for 6 years and there has always been a 15 minute window, anyway she decides to try out there new stylist Lexi I think so when she wouldn't do her hair she called the Manager and told her what the problem was and Jean the manager sided with the stylist and the stylist had told a complete boldface lie that she had not shown up for previous appointments, and that she did not call until 3:15 which is another lie, my wife had her phone and could prove that she did call when she couldn't make it and also called to tell her she was a few minutes late. Very unprofessional, I've spent thousands of dollars in that store over the past few years and been a diamond member for 3or4 years but if they want to let a new girl and a unprofessional manager ruin their store then we will be going somewhere else from now on. The woman working at the time told me to return at 7:30 and that she’d be done with her other client. I was completely fine with that knowing that I was early. I walked around the store and bought quite a few things. Well, 7:30 came and then 7:45, and then 8:10 and I STILL was not in the chair. While I was waiting in the sitting area, I overheard a conversation she was having with the young girl she was working on. She was using awful language and VERY inappropriate conversation and making everyone who had the misfortune of being in the vicinity uncomfortable... VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. After she finally was done with the girl’s hair, I thought FINALLY... but then I could not believe it... instead of coming over and even speaking to me she decides it would be better to try and sell the girl some product. I was mad but not as mad when she just stood over there for FOREVER taking her sweet time. I got up and left after waiting over 40 minutes for services that I HAD AN APPOINTMENT FOR!! The lady working in the salon was rude in what minimal interaction I had with her and as a Platinum member, I spend WAY TOO MUCH MONEY in this store to be treated like I’m invisible.
