Early February John Ivy came out to our home to show us samples, as well as give us an estimate. My husband and I knew basically what we wanted, so we where quick to make a decision. John emailed us our quote fairly quickly after leaving our house. We ended up changing a couple of things, so he updated our quote accordingly. The problems started there. We did all of the demo work ourselves in order to save us a little bit of money. Never where we told to save the tack strips, so we pulled them up. After we completed our demo is when we where told to save the tack strips. (A little to late). So we where charged for those. Another strange thing that we where Never told about was before we could even schedule an install date, we had to pay in full. Well thank goodness we went into the store to make sure the paint colors we had chosen, would match the carpets because when the store associate showed us our floors. We where not happy at all with the carpet. The carpet we chose out when John showed us, was gray. The carpet at the store was brown. Not even close to the same carpets. So we ended up paying almost $2 more a square foot than the one we originally chose out. Our quote went from $7,000 to over $9,000 that fast.
We where told that someone would call us the evening before installation day to touch basis with us. We Never heard anything. Delivery day came, we expected them to come between 9-11. At 8:15am, I get the call from the delivery men, saying they where at the house. (We had not moved into our house since we just bought our house, so we where 30 minutes away). My husband raced to our new house, so we could get them in to begin the installation. When my husband arrived, the first thing he saw was that both of the men where sitting in there van each smoking a cigarette. They where in the same vehicle that our new carpet, carpet padding and hardwood floors where in. That was extremely wrong, and very unprofessional! Honestly, dealing with carpet Liquidators was a huge headache. I would not recommend them to anyone. Next time we will go with a different place, we are happy to pay the difference in price, just as long as we get much...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking to buy some new vinyl flooring for our 3 bathrooms. Last year we bought some new carpet using Carpet Liquidators new Shop @ Home service. We had such a great experience using the Shop @ Home service that we were delighted to hear that Carpet Liquidators also sold vinyl & hardwood flooring. So we tracked down the old business card for John Ivey our Carpet Liquidator's Shop @ Home sales rep and set up a time for him to come to the house to give us the vinyl flooring skinny. As you would expect John Ivey, came out to our house, and took the time to walk my wife and I through the different vinyl and/or hardwood flooring options. He explained what options were available and what flooring solution would match our multiple bathroom projects. He also answered all our questions about the installation process. It was clear that John wasn't just a carpet expert, because he really knew his vinyl flooring as well. The installers were wonderful, on time, respectful & speedy. There was one section that didn't quite fit right, and the installer came back on his day off to finish the one troubled spot. The whole Shop @ Home process made buying vinyl flooring so much easier and hassle free. Thank YOU John Ivey and Carpet Liquidators Shop @ Home Division, for taking such good care of us. We can't wait to see what else Carpet Liquidator Shop @ Home division...
Read moreIn the middle of a hectic summer move-in to a 'badly needing remodel' home, we were forced to tear out carpets out after a sewage overflow and some less than professional plumbers who didn't even try to protect the carpet during work.
Updating the 1967 full carpeted look, we decided to put the faux tile down in the main hall, by the back door, outside the kitchen, and up in a closet.
Finding someone in our budget was hard, so finding Carpet Liquidators of Kirkland + them having the dark tile look we wanted (at a good price), we were more than pleased to start with.
The installer was polite and did a great job. Due to a language barrier with the installer, we had a few moments where questions couldn't be answered in full, but that was a minor issue that didn't bother me all that much (google has answers).
The only major issue we had was when they floated the floor at the bottom near our entry, they didn't warn us or tell us before they left that neither the main door or the garage door could open without scratching the new floor.... So, we have a scratch on the floor now (that thankfully hides well due to the floor design)and I had cut down both doors to make them open until we can fully replace the doors/frames. That's the only reason I am removing a star. We were not warned about the possibility beforehand nor told before they left.
Beyond that, it was a...
