I usually don’t write reviews but this place is so bad I don’t want others to have the experience we did. I could give negative if I could. The 2 hostesses couldn’t give a damn to seat us. They ruined our night completely. We were a party of 5 including 2 toddlers. There was plenty of space available and we were told we’ll be seated in 20–30 mins. We said okay and we waited at the space next to the hostess. We let them know that the kids were super hungry after a soccer game and we can adjust in a 4 seat table as the kids dint need that much space. Then we just see people getting seated before us for the next 30 mins and the place went from busy to half empty . We were still not seated and told another 20 mins. There were party of 4s and 6s just walking in. Patience reached a limit when she said she can do nothing and then a group of 20yr old girls giggling and laughing just walked in and were seated . That’s when I asked her what’s the policy of this restaurant we literally saw 10 other parties seated before us that walked in after us. To my utter shock she said she dint have table for 5. And that’s when I thought this bozo is waiting for the exact number of seats at a table and the restaurant dint have anything “5 seater”. We wasted an hour and now we wouldn’t be able to go anywhere else as places would start closing down. After telling them multiple times she seated us in a back room with no music or ordering panel like a storage room separate from the main restaurant. When we raised an issue that we are out to celebrate as a family and this feels like we’ve been seated at a staff lunch table with no one around and no music or service. We asked to be seated in the main dining area that is the actual restaurant. The manager comes out and we explain it to him, he made a gesture like his mind is blown and we are being difficult. Everything was just so horrible and the staff were super rude. They din’t care for our order or even bothered to make up for completely destroying a happy outing with kids. Because the kids were hungry we just let them order and eat. We as adults couldn’t bear to eat at this place that had no hospitality or even sensitivity to understand that families go out for dinner to have a good time at a lively restaurant. They dint even come back to check on us once the kids order was served.
Never going to Olive Garden again. Being in hospitality and service industry, it’s shocking the people running this place have zero EQ. Go somewhere else(Romeo’s) or eat at home rather than putting yourself...
Read moreNot sure what is going on with this place..I've been coming here for over 20 years, Even had friends who worked at this location in the past, and tonight was the worst service, food, and not the usual family-like vibe from previous experiences I've had from Olive Garden..Our server Christina was not too friendly..While we watched other tables around us getting expedited in a timely manner by other servers...It took Christina 30 mins to get our soup, and salad out to us...And also got us the wrong soup..I, patiently did not mention a word about it...But Christina was pretty quick to mention that it took so long because she was waiting on the bread...I, might of believed her if the bread was actually warm but it was not..Then after another 10 mins she finally brought out the correct soup..We ordered Chicken Marsala, and it smelled very off, and didn't even taste like Marsala..It smelled like someone accidentally poured a whole bottle of port wine into the sauce..We also ordered the seafood fettuccine, and it didn't taste right...If Christina would of periodically checked on us like all the other servers did at the other tables around us.. She would of heard about this issue sooner, and not when we were ready to pay our bill, while there was a plate full of Marsala, and Fettuccine in front of us that was barely touched! (Which probably should of been a clue) After politely explaining the issue to her..She rolled her eyes, and rudely asked "So? Then what..? Are you asking me to take this off your bill?" As, if we were there to score a free meal! At this point I was about to lose my patience, and just said..You know what? Just forget about it...and smiled, and asked for a take out box (Will get to that later)
Christina..I, still left you a 10% tip because I, know that times are tough for many, and I know servers pay their bills with their tips...But I, also feel it's worth mentioning that with decent service it would of been my normal 20% tip..Not sure if you're new there, or just had a horrible day? But felt that the decent thing for me to do was to still leave a 10% tip..(With the current economic climate in consideration.)
However? I, was compelled to leave this review because our service, and food was extremely unexceptable! And there was nothing decent about how it was all handled..We also asked for a take out box so that all our friends, and family can sample it to see what Olive Garden in Kirkland is serving these days...Why? describe it when they can taste it for...
Read moreMy kids and I stopped here to grab a bite to eat after a long day of sightseeing around Seattle.
We arrived around 5pm, and there was a lot of parking available. We were seated with no wait after walking in the door. They put us in a back room where a large party of 15+ people had just left. The hostess told us that our server would be with us shortly. We ended up waiting almost 15 minutes for our server to come take our order. She apologized and told us that they were short staffed, and that she was also working the bar area. She was very kind and friendly. We briefly chatted about us visiting the area from Texas, and her interest in Texas. My son ordered the kids cheese pizza, and my daughter and I both ordered the soup and salad. Our soup and salad took a very long time to come out. I don’t think we’ve ever waited that long at any Olive Garden for just soup and salad, but we were patient because we knew our server had a lot on her plate, and chalked the wait up to the kitchen staff. When our soup and salad and breadsticks finally arrived, we noticed that our salad had no salad dressing on it. The minestrone soup was nice and hot though. My son’s kids’ pizza came out about 10 minutes after we received our soup and salad. Our server came to check up on us shortly after my son received his pizza, and we told her our salad was missing the salad dressing. She quickly came back with two sides of dressing with an apology and a smile.
My only complaint on this visit was that the man who was bussing the table from the large party was extremely loud. He was basically tossing the dishes into the cart and all we heard for about 30-40 minutes was the loud crash of dishes, cups and silverware being tossed around. It was very uncomfortable. I looked around the room and I could see other diners bothered by the crashing sound of dishes as well. I truly felt he was making a lot of noise on purpose. He didn’t look very happy as he tossed each plate into the bucket on the cart. Other than that, our...
