I was a part time student in 2016. I took an introductory statistics class, that I needed for a program at the UW. The instructor told us there would be no exams, no final, and that we could pick our own grade for the class, but that we'd have fun and learn a lot. Sure enough, there were no real exams, and no final exam. And yes, everyone got to pick they're own final grade for the class. The instructor skipped all of the mathematical exercises. He told us that most teachers, unlike him, don't know how to teach. Unfortunately, I hardly learned anything worthwhile in that class. Almost certainly, I will have to retake statistics again at the UW. So even though the parking was free, my educational experience was sorely lacking. I thought I was saving money by going to LWIT for my statistics class, but from a "Cost vs. Value" perspective, I wasted my tuition money, and most importantly, my time. I can replace the money, but I cannot replace the time wasted at that college. An administrator there confessed to me that since enrollment was very low, the college wasn't receiving enough state and federal money, so as a result, "Certain necessary attributes" had gone lacking. I would guess that LWIT was happy to receive my tuition money, but the worthless credits I received are barely...
Read more"Technology"? I can't even do my homework in class!? The cpu keeps freezing up! Lost my assignment in the Microsoft Cloud ON CAMPUS! Technical support is one overweight guy always eating at his cpu. I had to wait until the end of the quarter to meet with an advisor to sign up for classes I didn't want. Now I got a teacher that I didn't want. Got referred to get help with housing, the guy at Mary's Place never called me back. It's more like a outdated community college. The campus security running around there think they the real police. Several minority students told me they were followed around campus by them. Covid hit and I'm getting pressured by a rude narcissist teacher to come to the school to withdrawal from class. Then when I was trying to get back into school nobody answered a voicemail or email. Only owed the school around $400, got a collections bill for $1,000+. The King County Metro bus doesn't come by the school that much. Your definitely going to car transportation. The staff is mostly nice & helpful for the most part. But some things need...
Read morethe first word that comes to mid when describing this school is incompetent, the professors are incapable of teaching their classes and believe they are only responsible for "5%" of the students education. If you wish to attend a school that puts the needs of the students education first do not go here. i took an auto cad class with "Charles Williams" that he did not provide lectures for and didn't know the program that he was teaching often getting lost or confused. when asked a question the professor was often unable to answer having to direct the question to other students. this class was also often left to the TA to teach. when the students brought these problems to light the teach deducted their grades for "disruption of class". i would like to say that this is a localized incident but unfortunately this describes most of the professors and staff at this school. the only interest the staff takes in their students education is where their...
