The prices on the menu skyrocketed when minimum wage went up, It's like they're passing their grief on to the customers, which is very unprofessional. 40 to 60% higher, I was shocked. Ordered soup, but it was a little weird tasting. Almost seafood, like, and it was chicken soup. They did not have any side orders on the menu, Or prices, things like soft drinks, tortillas, beans, rice guacamole. You know, side orders? Maybe you had a smaller kid with you. That was 6 or 7 years old, and you wanted to get something small for them. They will definitely accommodate you, but it's not on the menu, so you don't know what to expect. As far as prices go! I will not be coming back. Because of the unprofessionalism Of how they have handled pricing. And slapping the customers, with there so-called grief of minimum wage hike, i came about 630 on a Saturday and the place was practically empty. I believe a lot of restaurants we'll go under. Because they do not want to pay their employees and want to pass on that increase to the customers. It's like you're slapping us in the face. You're customer, I don't get it really. You cannot tell me for 1 second. Because I have been a father, of 4 and grandchildren, of 8, that, I don't know what I'm talking about. It seems like restaurants these days. Have been hiking their prices even before, Minimum wage went up by 40 to 50%. When you buy in quantity the increases should not be that bad At this steep rate. Greed has been kicking in these restaurants and retail people, and they are not stopping because of greed. There Ingredients are very cheap to buy very cheap. Most people in the world cook at home, and they know what the real cost is. That's why Mexican food? It's really cheap to make, and it should not be this. I when you're paying $20, 4 Enchiladas Which is nothing more than tortillas? A little cheese sauce and a little pit of chicken or beef. That is ridiculous restaurants unfortunately will drive themselves out of business. That's right themselves out of business and try to blame it on minimum wage hikes and ingredients. There's no excuse 4 them whatsoever to justify these type of prices. You know, you are being taken of vantage. When a soda cash $5 and they don't want to put the price on the menu and 3 tortillas cost you 395 and beans a spoonful, 495, like I said. They the owners and Management are greed, mongers and are doomed because of...

I had a very bad lunch experience here for lunch today. I ordered their #1, a tamale and enchilada. I said "chicken on both." And the waiter left. The first thing I noticed, when I got my meal, was that the plate was chipped and had a sharp edge. I would have ignored this, had I not had any other problems.

The next thing I noticed was that the tamale was not chicken.

Then, while eating the chicken enchilada, I bit down on a small chicken bone, that broke my crown. I kept it and put it on the table.

I slid my plate to the edge of the table to signify that I was done with it. Several minutes sitting there, the waiter walked by, while asking, "all done then?" Walking too fast for me to reply, so I just blurted out "yes."

When he brought the bill, I pointed out the chip on the plate, for which he didn't seem at all concerned. Then I mentioned that the tamale was not chicken. His reply was that they don't have tamales with chicken. I suggested next time he should probably mention that beforehand.

And, finally, I mentioned the bone, and pointed to it on the table. He seemed unphased.

He left with my credit card, then came back with the ticket, no discounts, not even an offer to pay for my Arnold Palmer.

I will never go here again. I will go to Azteca, just down the road. There, they treat...

Horrible experience at this place. I would like to completely avoid it in the future. Please say away!!

Placed a to-go order over the phone, as they were not accepting doordash orders and had to go pick it up in person. I had to call them thrice to place an order, first time the lady hung up on me in the middle of taking the order. The second time they put me on hold and disconnected after a couple of mins. Finally was able to place an order on the third try.

When I arrived at the restaurant, they told me that they ran out of chips and salsa. You are a Mexican restaurant, come on! How do you run out of chips and salsa?

Then they added a 4% surcharge to the payment. On asking them about it, they first told me that my bank added it. Upon questioning them on it, as to why my bank would charge me that amount, they changed the story and told me it want not the bank, but the state of Washington that charges it. Again, why would the state of Washington charge me that? No other business does! They just want to change an additional 4% to their customers and come up with random lies to justify it.

Finally, the food did not taste the great, much better Mexican restaurants in the area, will stay away and advise you the same.

Horrible overall experience!!...

Walked in at 615pm on Saturday night and was seated promptly. Sign at register says an additional 3% charged if using credit card. 😕Not a huge place, but didn't feel small and was about half full, good ambiance with music playing and an old Mexican movie playing about the bar. Chips were abundant and watered down salsa was served. Shrimp in fajitas were nice and large, cooked well but onions and peppers were cooked within an minute of life, very overcooked. Carne asada was seasoned well and large. Decent beans and rice, pico de gallo was a tiny amount, underseasoned and tasted from a jar. Food was okay and I would try this place again. Biggest issue is service. My waiter was great when he could. But there is NO TEAMWORK here. We were seated across from bar and manager stood in same place doing nothing but chatting with staff about personal things, distracting staff. All staff walked by and none offered to fill my water, or pick up an empty plate, and again Manager never moved.

Great Mexican food in an unassuming area! It's right off the Totem Lake Village, where it's all hip now it's no longer a ghost mall. This place has character, good portions and Claudia was quick and efficient in getting our orders. Once you sit down you get piping hot tortilla chips and a very tasty salsa (we came around 7.45pm), and orders were quick. Seems to be short staffed and busy waitress, but overall we had a good time, would recommend their "most recommended" Mar Y Tierra dish below, and the quesadilla. Will be visiting again, didn't realize there'd be such good Mexican food here! Much better than Azteca/Ixatapa chains

"If you are hungry - This is "NOT" the place for you to go" We had ordered 4 dishes and waited for almost 40 mins. We had to stay because other restaurants would be closed by that time. The waiter took the order and didn't note it on paper. She kept the items in mind but we got messed up dishes without the requirements we asked for. And coming to the taste -Not Satisfactory. We only liked the complimentary nachos and salsa There is a bar space which looks good We didn't order the drinks. The photo frames hung on walls are quiet interesting and good.
