Iāve been working with Lee Johnson for well over a decade now (both before Genesis differentiated from Hyundai and continuing now thereafter). Iāve had the privilege to see both the Genesis brand and Lee Johnson grow. My apologies as this review is a bit overdue, but I hope this properly articulates the stellar customer service Iāve experienced from just this year alone. To me, itās a no brainer as to why I go backāthese folks have always taken good care of me and my vehicles.
At the start of 2025, I brought my 2021 G80 in for some warranty work and to help diagnose a in-frequent noise. In both visits, I worked with Jackson as my service advisor. He was incredibly friendly and respectfulāhe took time to understand my concerns, answered all of my questions, and kept me updated throughout the service. As for the noise, I worried that it wouldnāt be reproducible and therefore difficult to diagnose without concrete data, such as a DTC. Thankfully, Keegan was willing to go on a test drive with me while I attempted to reproduce it and articulate the issue along with my suspicions. He was incredibly patient and was able to not only identify the problem, but resolve it too! Thank you both for your help and support (and to anyone else that was part of this that I didnāt have the pleasure of interacting with directly)āyāall are awesome!
Just this month, I worked with Dillon, Bri, and Russ to purchase a new 2026 Electrified GV70. (Which, what a machineāitās incredibly fun to drive and has completely enhanced my commute to work!) Iāve never had a car buying experience this painless before. Iāve been in contact with Dillon since Genesis announced the 26MY. He helped to kick off the order process and kept me updated on the rollout in NA. When it came time to actually test drive and make the go/no-go decision, I had the pleasure of meeting Bri. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for Genesis was incredibly refreshing! (We couldāve talked cars for hours.) She always made sure to explain everything and addressed all of my concerns with the new car. Russ was able to walk me through all the numbers and patiently waited while I ran my own calculations on my phone (from the comfort of the fabulous ergo-motion seats in the parking lotātheyāre nice, what can I say?). Everyone was on their A-game and had me on my way in just a few short hours (without buyerās remorse, I might add). Thank you all for your help throughout this process and continued support to this day!

Both when I stopped by Genesis of Kirkland for routine service (that needed a loaner or otherwise) and during any part of the car buying process, Clay has always made the effort to say āhelloā and assisted in any way he can. Thank you for always checking in on me, taking care of me while I am there, and ultimately making me feel like family!

I recently had the pleasure of using the valet service at Genesis of Kirkland, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Huge thanks to Justin for taking such great care of my car, and to Clay for overseeing everything, ensuring the entire process was seamless and efficient.
When I purchased my Genesis in May 2024, I had some reservations about the valet program. From what Iād read, reviews across the U.S. often mentioned long wait times and extended service durations. However, my experience with Genesis of Kirkland couldnāt have been more different.
After reaching 5,000 miles on my vehicle, it was time for a service. I scheduled my appointment via the app on December 17th, and was pleasantly surprised to secure an appointment for December 27th. Almost immediately, I received a confirmation email from Genesis of Kirkland detailing the next steps. Initially, I thought it was just a standard confirmation, but over the next few days, I received multiple follow-up emails from the dealership, making sure I had everything I needed and reminding me of the process to ensure a smooth experience on the day of pickup.
On the day of the service, Clay kept me well informed about the timing of the valet pickup. Justin, who came to collect my car, was incredibly professional. He took the time to explain what services would be performed, answered all of my questions, and even suggested an additive for the gas tank to improve fuel efficiency. His attention to detail was much appreciated.
The level of communication was fantasticāby the end of the day, I received an update on the services completed. Not only did they handle all the maintenance, but they also washed the exterior and performed an interior detailing, all at no additional charge. When Friday arrived and it was already late in the day, Clay informed me that the car would be returned on Monday, which was perfectly fine since I had a loaner vehicle in the meantime.
When my car was delivered back to me, I was amazed at how much cleaner it wasāboth inside and outācompared to when it was picked up. It felt like a brand-new car!
The only aspect of the experience that wasnāt exceptional was the loaner vehicle. I received a GV70 Advanced, which was very similar to the GV70 I already own. I was hoping for a different driving experience, perhaps with a GV60, GV70 electric, or a GV80, but thatās more of me being a little greedy than anything else! š
Overall, my experience with Genesis of Kirkland was exceptional. From the easy scheduling and proactive communication to the thorough service and attention to detail, this is, without a doubt, the smoothest and most hassle-free car service experience Iāve ever had. I highly recommend their valet service to anyone looking for top-notch care for their vehicle.

I initially called Genesis of Kirkland about a GV70 they had on the lot. I was told Dylan, the sales manager, would get back to me. He never did. A week later, I followed up and was passed off to Erik, who promised to work up numbers and financing options. I had already secured pre-approvals from two other places, but I gave them a shot to earn my business. Again ā no follow-up.
After another week of silence, I reached out again and was told (falsely) that I had informed them Iād bought another car and was no longer interested ā completely untrue. Eventually, I received numbers and decided to proceed with the purchase. I flew in to Kirkland, signed all the paperwork, paid a $10,000 down payment, and was told the rest would be handled ā plates mailed, paperwork sent, financing submitted. I drove off thinking the deal was done.
Fast forward 45+ days, and I had received: ⢠No license plates ⢠No paperwork ⢠No contact from the bank
When I called the credit union, they couldnāt even find me in their system. After some digging, they located a paper file ā meaning nothing had been submitted electronically. The bank told me theyād been trying to get the dealership to respond for two weeks ā with no luck. So now Iām the one being asked to put pressure on the dealer.
Once I did, the dealership finally sent me the credit application ā weeks after I bought the car. I signed and returned it promptly. Then, 10 days later, I got a call saying I had one hour to sign it again or the deal would fall through. No explanation. No accountability.
To make matters worse: ⢠I was told multiple times my plates were being overnighted. They werenāt. I returned home to Kentucky ā no plates. They outright lied. ⢠I was also told they had heard from the bank and that the loan was now complete. That appears to be yet another falsehood, as Iāve received zero confirmation from the bank ā no documents, no welcome letter, nothing.
My temporary tags have now expired, and I canāt legally drive the vehicle. So now Iām either Ubering to work or gambling that I wonāt be pulled over ā all because Genesis of Kirkland couldnāt do the most basic part of their job.
Iāve bought, sold, and leased over 30 cars in my life. Iām nearly 60 years old and have never experienced a dealership this disorganized, unprofessional, and outright shady. Whether this is incompetence or willful deception, itās unacceptable.
