Had the absolute worst experience in my life here!!! Just 2 days into signing up they had me meet w a personal Trainer for a free consultation and on the day of they switched the trainer on me and never gave me a confirmation call. The person they set me up with was Juan C. The personal Trainer manager and right from the getgo I could tell he didn't want to have anything to do with me, I was wasting his time and he was so incredibly rude and disrespectful. He would ask me questions such as why did I join the gym? What do I want from the gym? And after answering he was annoyed with my responses and rudely hand gestured me to come up with better answers. He then asked me personal questions such as where does your husband take you out? And after I said I don't have a husband he said What?! You don't have a husband? But don't you have a kid? It was such an uncomfortable setting. He was horrible at presentation. And when it came down to actually talking about my goals he would completely demotivate me. He would say comments like well you were at planet fitness for 3 years and you only lost 25 lbs that's not a lot. And your bmi is all the way over here when it should be over here. I was just so shocked that a personal Trainer could talk to someone like this. Obviously if I just joined a gym it's because I'm looking to get better results not have someone put me down and crush my self confidence. I started crying and his response was he was being a jerk because he's been having a bad day at home and work. I'm sorry but regardless how is that my fault? I just signed up to the gym to improve myself and this man made me feel the lowest I have ever felt. I CALLED CORPORATE BUT THEY DID NOTHING!!!!!! Just an apology. Really? Like that's going to make it better? I was at planet fitness for 3 years and I've never ever had a bad experience period. I thought corporate could help me out and try and make my experience better but they didn't. So incredibly disappointed...
Read moreThis gym is by far the worse company I’ve ever dealt with. They treat their members AND staff with disrespect. I would advice everyone in this area thinking of joining a gym to join Crunch. It’s not much better, but it is cheaper and the staff is respectful and nice. They do not harass you and mind their own business. Starting with the VP Henry and the trainer, Otniel, who has an attitude and no people skills. These two individuals are disrespectful and will follow you around the gym and record you without permission. This review was mistakenly posted at the wrong ESPORTA, so reposting at the correct one now. Not that the other ones are much better, but it should’ve been posted specifically for the Esporta close to The Loop.
BTW if you are a member and are having a hard time canceling this membership…. Here’s a hack. Go into the app, change your payment to a credit card that is closed or a gift card without a balance and when they go to charge you, since the card won’t go through, you’ll immediately get a cancellation. If you decide to cancel at the gym, you’ll be told a manager has to be there, and in this area the managers are either not there, busy, or just lazy and won’t do it for you. If you call them or email them, they will take an eternity to reply and when they do, they will make you mail a form in order to cancel. The way I just told you, it happens immediately and without the headache of dealing with them. You will get confirmation of the cancellation through email once they try billing you and they can’t. Save time and the headache of dealing with them. This company is horrible. The only reason they are in business is because there are only 2 choices of similar gyms here in the Orlando area. ESPORTA/LA FITNESS is definitely the worse of the two. Hope this helped anyone trying to cancel this...
Read moreSo I have been an LA Fitness member for most of my adult life and in that time I’ve been to locations all over Florida and this is one of the worst by far. I could say it’s because of the wait for equipment, the lack of cleanliness on the aforementioned equipment and the bathrooms, or the clientele which given the area in Kissimmee means that most of them feel like rejected extras from the Fast and the Furious. In truth however all of that is par for the course, it’s a commercial gym and you learn to expect it, no the real problem here is the staff. This location has some of the most impersonal and unfriendly staff I’ve ever seen, and not even just within a gym. You wanna know something cool? They have a great unlimited trial membership here it’s called walking in and going straight past the counter. Seriously, no one will stop you to scan your card because they are too busy gossiping amongst themselves to notice you. Even after they do that they just go back to talking to each other, no welcome, no have a good workout, hell I’d even prefer it if they insulted me rather than act like I’m not even worth the bother. The rest of the staff isn’t any better either. Trainers who I’ve observed spending most of their time hanging with their Bros whilst on the clock and lovingly checking out their reflections in the bathroom while they groom themselves with the rest. And god the smoothie counter, each time it’s a different girl and each time their attitude and demeanor are more and more absurd. My most recent visit had a girl in slides, and a hoodie mumbling at me confusedly when I asked her to make me a smoothie, you know, her job? Trust me drive the extra miles for another...
