Traveled from Texas and most places were pretty neat... all but this place. Absolutly everything was over priced. 100$ sucker? Smaller one was 50$ lol. The only cheeks their candy is ment to go in is not the ones u want. They really bend u over here. We struggled to find something to buy that we felt we wouldn't get rocket fizzled right in the keester. I am sure the rent is insane, prob adds to the price, but there are other shops that at least have good service. 7/3/2024 update to the reply from the owner A simple google search will show anyone what the average retail price of anything in your store should be. Absolutly everything that u are selling is marked up at a unrealistic price. That novilty sucker at 100$ is taking up retail space for something that probabally rarely sells and is giving you the wrong publicity, anyway you look at it. I admit i was harsh with my review, but i assure you i started a retail store, and my store currently has over 700 reviews and a overall rating of 4.9+. It is not a "nessesity" store similar to yours and within a year i was averaging 100+ customers a day. Listen to your critiques. I do not make any money giving reviews. I do not write these because i love waisting my time. I write these because im passionate with great customer service, and i love hearing small buisnesses do well. Your store lacks customer service and your pricing needs to either be more competitive, or you need to re evaluate what you are not selling. Even with that 100$ sucker, the right person in the shop could make that sucker worth the value. When i left there, i purchased a 6$ item and i still felt...
Read moreWent in with my five year old and two year old daughter. It was immediate sensory overload for them. The sheer magnitude of candy in this place is astounding. I'm 55 and seen a bunch of candy from my childhood which was awesome. A lot of reviews complain about price and it's kind of fair. It's expensive no doubt, but here is my context. We go to Market Square once in a while as a treat. Therfore we budget for the elevated price of a tourist area. I gave my kids $10 each and they were ecstatic about what they got. If my kids are happy, I'm happy and that's priceless. Besides I got a delicious huckleberry pop with pure cane sugar. This place has rent to pay and it's in a tourist area so I know what to expect. I'm giving my kids a once in a while treat. They highly recommend a visit as would any kid. The only negative I experienced was it took my girls FOREVER to make up they're mind. They got a lesson in budgeting with the $10 bill as well. We enjoyed our time at...
Read moreI love finding new kinds of root beers and ginger beers/ales, and this place had over a dozen new-to-me sodas that I am itching to try. Also, some of hard-to-find root beers I’ve had in the past were there. (I highly recommend Reading Draft root beer, WBC root beer (formerly Goose Island root beer), Margo’s Bark root beer, and Bulldog root beer and….)
There were lots of interesting candies—some common, some unfamiliar, some gross-sounding and some quite tempting.
Prices are on the high side, so I’d hesitate on stocking up at the store (because it’s always cheaper to buy bulk online if the shipping is free and you know you like a product). However, this is a great place to buy a lot of different, new things to see what you like (and don’t like) prior to deciding if you’re going to buy something in bulk.
Yeah. You’re going to feel like a kid in a candy store, even...
