Today I called the Tree&Vine in Knoxville and asked the young lady who answered the phone if they could fill the stainless containers made to properly store home sized portions of oil. The response was yes, and is it one of ours, my reply was no. I then asked if they could add the required oxygen removing gas, again a yes answer.I replied great I will see you shortly. My wife and I drove almost an hour into town, hunted for a parking place, and walked to the store. Upon entering I started looking at the first display and without a greeting, welcome, or hello, I was told they would not fill my container with the oil I was looking at because it was in limited supply.I thought it a little odd, but assumed they wanted everyone to get the chance of at least some. Ok how about another one as healthy? I was then told they would only fill containers bought at their store. I replied we just drove an hour to get here and I had just called you, why wasn’t I told this then, you knew the my container was bought elsewhere,? I have a hard time understanding why they could not fill my container even stating I would buy three or four bottles and pour them myself at $50.00 a bottle if she would just add the gas. My container was almost new and the same type they sold just a little smaller, but the answer was No. It seems a scam to make all customers buy their high priced containers,when there are no health problems as the containers all come from the same place in Italy. You lost a lot of return business as my olive oil filling would be a continuing thing.We will now drive to Johnson City every three or four months and return to the store we bought...

Finally went here after walking by it so many times, and fell in love! There are so many olive oils and balsamic vinegar to sample and purchase, and all the flavors I tried were delicious and very high quality (plus some very creative flavors, like black walnut balsamic and lime olive oil). The manager was so personable and welcoming and encouraged us to try some new flavors we wouldn't have thought we would enjoy, but ended up liking! One thing I really appreciated was the different size containers for the oils and vinegars, so you have the option to get whatever size is best for you (plus, they're filled there in front of you and heat sealed). There's also many unique and quality kitchen items, many of which would make wonderful gifts (the oils and vinegars are gifts I will be giving in the future). We met the owners years ago by random chance, and we fell in love with their traditional balsamic vinegar. The stuff is like maple syrup in its consistency. We've continued to shop from their Knoxville store, even though we live 6 hours away. This year I contacted Terri, one of the owners, to help me with business Christmas gifts for clients in different states. She was spot-on with being responsive and accomodating to assist me online.
