I went in to get a ring sized to 5.75. I spoke to the owner which was very professional and polite. When my fiance wears the ring for a few days she notices it's really tight. I take it back and ask for them to check the ring size and the young lady keeps saying it's between 5 1/2 and 5 1/4. Well it was actually barely over 5 1/2. She then proceeds to tell me I need a ring guard or beads welded on. I was beginning to get upset because she was incapable of understanding what I was wanting done to the ring. She then proceeds to look up my account information and tells me I still have an open ticket that has not been paid. I ask how I was able to leave with the ring and she states it happens and I could of taken my ring to another jeweler and they messed it up. It's been less than a week since I picked it up. I ask for my ring back and she states she has to hear me say that I have paid for my ticket before she will give me my property back. I am pissed to say the least. I look her square in the eyes and tell her I paid for it. She gives me the ring back and states wherever you take it they will just send it to us anyway. The Vella representative (young lady brunette hair) was disrespectful and very unprofessional. Money goes where it's appreciated. I will adjust my review after I speak...
Read moreMy mother and I have used Vella’s for years. They have always been very passionate about anything that we have brought in to have worked on and been very easy on charging us. I once had lost a small stone in my wedding ring and had taken it to another jewelry store in the mall and they told me it would have to be sent out and wanted an enormous price to fix it. I like to have passed out because it was more than what I payed for the ring. I took it to Vella’s and was amazed at the reasonable price he gave me and said he could fix it in a reasonable time, plus it would stay right there locked in a safe. I have dropped in before with a loose latch on a bracelet and he stopped to fix it at no charge. They are good at what they do and love doing it. When you like your job you will go out of your way to help. I like the small business and will continue to praise Vella’s for the good work and low prices. P.S. I can’t say enough nice things about them. Thank you...
Read moreI could not be happier with my ring from Vellas Jewelers. I had been to five other Jewelers in Knoxville two of which were "well known" for their "personalized" jewelry making, all of whom told me they could not make the ring I was asking for. When I met Ron at Vellas Jewelers and showed him what I was looking for he said not a problem. I wanted a simple ring with a stone in the middle either diamond or CZ and then two ribbons of stones on each side. One ribbon with teal stones for ovarian cancer and one ribbon with pink stones for breast cancer all in white gold, silver plated, or sterling silver it didn't matter to me I just didn't want yellow gold. Ron worked hard to find the right teal color stones and made me a perfect keepsake. This ring is a reminder of all I have been through in the past 4 years with ovarian cancer and breast cancer. That I fought hard and survived. Thank you Ron for listening to me and taking time to make me the...
