AA Cards&Collectibles — Local services in Kokomo

My almost 6 year old son and I stopped in because we had some time to burn. Never been in but I've wanted to stop by for a long time.

When we pulled in the parking lot, two guys were standing outside. They walked in ahead of us, and as we entered were chatting. One or both appeared to work there, as no one else was in there.

I glanced at what interested me. But I grew increasingly frustrated that our presence in the shop had gone unrecognized. No "Hello," or "Can I help." Nothing.

I got frustrated enough that I stopped looking and headed for the door. At that point we were acknowledged with "Have a great day." What's sad is while putting my son in the car, he asked why those people didn't say Hi to him. He LOVES telling people Hi.

I like supporting local card shops, and almost always drop some money on a single card for myself or my son while visiting a LCS. Customer service goes a long way, be it big box or small business. To feel not as important as their conversation at the time...

AA is the first card shop I ever went to and was immediately welcomed with open arms. I was introduced to the Pokemon Trading Card Game and was welcomed with open arms by everyone from both the Pokemon and Sports side. I was even given a few things (a playmat and deck box) to start and now I have used this card shop to build six different decks with completely different styles of play. I was looking at the most recent reviews and they were all one stars. I have no idea why they would be. Have I spent too much money at this card shop? Yes. Is it my own fault because I have no self control? Also yes. But I would have spent so much more money if it wasn’t for them almost always having some kind of deal going on as well as them being willing to be somewhat flexible with pricing if you buy enough or work with them as well. Highly recommend the sports half of this store! Josh hall is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions ive had whether its been about the products itself or how to post things on Ebay. I am always greeted with a smile and he makes sure he says good bye to ALL customers whether they are his or not! I love how clean the displays are as well. He does a very good job making sure the glass cases are cleaned so you can look at the cards without difficulty! I whole heartly recommend...
