So I had a very random âemergencyâ where I needed a new steel stock tank for my injured/sick turtles. (Iâm a rehabber) my old tub sprang a leak... flooded my turtle room, no other place to put them and 2 of them are strictly aquatic turtles so putting them in buckets or leaving them out of water isnât an option and a bath tub isnât large enough nor deep enough so I was really strapped and in a time crunch... anyway, I called this location and asked them if they had the size tub I needed and the girl insured me that they had 4 of them in stock... I clarified the size, the material, the sku # etc. and she again insisted she had them in stock and I told her I lived 2.5 hours away and I really canât afford to take the trip if they donât have the tank.. again she told me the 100% have multiple in stock. So I drive a very small car... so my husband and I drove out to the only uhaul place that could accommodate us which was still an hour away from the shop.. We rented the uhaul... drove to rural king... went in, purchased the tank... only to go outside and find out that there arenât ANY of the tanks the girl promised me they had in stock... multiple people looked and apparently the girl on the phone... not only works the front end (so shes not familiar with whatâs outside and whatâs being sold) but she NEVER EVEN CHECKED THAT THEY EVEN CARRIED THEM! Sooo.... yeah. Pretty infuriating. Even the manager was annoyed as heck that the girl on the phone didnât bother to check... and then she had to clean up the mess that was 100% avoidable and unnecessary.... a mess that was made all because one person was too careless/lazy to actually check if something was in stock.... so multiple people were put out all because of one stupid mistake. We wasted money that we canât have refunded (uhaul/gas etc) and wasted 5 hours (that we literally couldnât afford to waste) of our day all because of one very careless and very stupid mistake. The manager was very kind and so were the guys outside that tried to help us. But still. Thankfully a rural king close to Ohio had one in stock and even gave us a discount because THEY felt bad for what happened and it wasnât even their problem.. we canât pick up the new tub until tomorrow so my turtles are currently in styrofoam coolers that are barely big enough to turn around in..... all because one person Decided not to do their job. So literally every living being that was involved in this had to deal with the consequences of one lazy worker... except for that lazy...
Read moreALL I HAVE TO SAY IS STACY (MANAGER) IS SUCH A BIHH* MY HUSBAND AND I WENT IN YESTERDAY TO PURCHASE A DOG KENNEL, WE SPENT $574 ON THE KENNEL AND ACCESSORIES. WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE KENNELS WHEN WE ARRIVED, THE ONLY AVAILABLE PERSON TO HELP US WAS STACY, LOW & BEHOLD SHE IS A MANAGER. WE WERE TRYING TO ASK HER HOW TO ANCHOR IT DOWN AND WHERE TO FIND THE SUPPLIES WE NEEDED. THE ENTIRE TIME SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE, AND KEPT GOING ON HER RADIO SAYING "ITS GOING TO BE A WHILE" LIKE WE WERE BOTHERING HER. SHE WOULDNT SHOW US WHERE ANYTHING WAS, IT WAS HARD ENOUGH TO FIND AN EMPLOYEE WHO COULD HELP US BECAUSE THEY WERE SHORT HANDED BUT BEING A MANAGER OF THIS STORE YOU WOULD THINK SHE WOULD BE A LITTLE NICER AND MORE HELPFUL SEEING HOW WE WERE SPENDING QUITE A BIT OF MONEY. INSTEAD I TOLD HER IF YOU NEED TO GO, GO AND SHE JUST WALKED AWAY, LATER FINDING HER STANDING BY THE CARTS NOT DOING A THING. WHAT A COMPLETE BIH! SHE NEEDS FIRED. I DO LIKE THIS STORE BESIDES HER, IF YOU NEED HELP FIND TOMMY OR RICK, OR THE KID THAT WORKS MOSTLY AT SERVICE DESK WITH TAT ON ARM, THEY ARE VERY NICE & HELPFUL.**UPDATE!! I HAVE CHANGED MY REVIEW FROM A 1 TO A 4 BC IVE BEEN IN SEVERAL TIMES SINCE WITH NO PROBLEMS & NO STACY, kennel is up and its very nice & anchored correctly thanks to Tommy and Rick! They do need AC in there its always super hot & a little more staff. BUT GREAT OVERALL! Free pig ear when you bring your furry friend! Staff can not tell sex of rabbits. Bought 2 "males" from male cage & 1 month later i had 6...
Read moreI'm new to the Midwest and farm stores like this in general so I really don't have much to compare it with.
I'll start off with saying that the teenage girls who were ringing bells and collecting money for the Salvation Army, while greeting us at the entrance, looked like they may have had hypothermia. If I hadn't already gotten frost bite on the walk between the parking lot and the entrance It would have been a sombering reminder that it gets really, really, really crazy cold here...but alas I had already figured it out. Winter is coming. May baby Jeuse bless those poor frozen girls.
In the store they had Carhartt gear, bib overalls and shirts with tractors on them.(why?!) I think I saw a section for auto supplies and I even saw a green John Deere Tractor Power Wheels motorized vehicle for the little farmers in the toy section. They might have had toilet paper and I know they sold bulk treats and stuff for our puppy but what really got me excited was the fact that they had baby chickens and ducks for sale. Like wow, I can just go into a store and buy farm fowl here? Needless to say my impulse control may have run afoul from the cuteness overload and I may have bought all of the little feathered farm fowl on stock and now I'm just a guy from San Diego who use to surf and play in the desert who now has a homestead in rural Indiana.
