Breakfast House Inc — Restaurant in Kokomo

Ok so the review I did two years ago needs to be updated. They were 5 stars all day. Not anymore. For the record I went into the breakfast house with the intent to review them. So I timed everything.

The first thing I want to say is in the past 10 times we've been there we have had hair in our food 6 times. I saw One of the cooks flicking his long hair while standing over a pot of chicken noodles. A

The service more then anything has gone down hill with a jet pack!! I was in there yesterday and when they first ask us about drinks, 8 minutes. Got her coffee but didn't bring my drink. 7 minutes later the waitress came to take our order. She said "you didn't order a drink?" I replied " I did, just never showed up."

After taking my order my drink didn't show up till my food got there. Witch was 15 minutes later. The food was good but now well over priced for what they give you. I finished my drink and it took 5 minutes before I asked for a drink and 9 minutes after I asked to get my drink.

They we're not busy.

For two people it costed $25 buck...

Food was good. I was scared to eat it. The inside needs updated and cleaned. Cleaning should start immediately. They could put 10k to 20k in upgrades and make the place look like new. Every seat has a hole in it. Yhere are bar stools missing and they put 5 gallon buckets over the broke bases. The floors are dirty. The walls and ceiling look like they still have nicotine stains on them from the 80s. The cooler behind the counter had trash and dried food laying in the bottom of it. There is a small room off of dining that had the door open and it was disgusting. The silverware was clean but looked like it was over 50 years old and had been used a million times. Sure it isn't broke, but the shine on it left to go back a few decades; very dull and worn. Coffee mugs are relics from the 60s; hold very little and coffee don't stay hot long. Listening to a worker complain about how bad another business was when they went there was the epitome of irony. Has she not looked around where she works? Fix the one you're in before you bad mouth...

I had high hopes for a good mom&pop breakfast while visiting family in Kokomo… however with the restaurant so visibly dirty and then workers yelling and fighting it would be hard to enjoy even IF the food was good. Most of my table had undercooked omelettes and the portions were tiny. The “hungry man’s breakfast” apparently means “leave here hungry”. But they apparently can’t afford trays to carry out door so they instead set plates of food directly on top of each other piled high and to save from making a second trip or taking a few more steps they aren’t above tucking your plate in their armpit, it is infact something we saw multiple times during our short meal there. Bob Evans is less than 10 minutes away! Even the nearby McDonalds...
