If I could I would give them no star. It you are of African American background you will be treated as such by the lady working in the dressing room. Visiting the area for a wedding and went to buy a few things. Went to dressing room and the lady was very rude to me. Spoke very loudly to me...I count all tags in and out. The lady before me that walked into the dressing room was not told that. So I finished before my daughter and just sat in the dressing room with my door open to see if anyone else would be informed that their tags were counted in and out. She did not tell anyone else that I seen come in and out the rooms. On our way out there was another lady in front of us. She handed the lady her items and walked off. Before she finished counting the other ladies items that walked off ..she stopped my 12 year old daughter and grab her item and was counting and explains to her why she is counting tags....at that point I was not happy and just sat my items on the counter with my tags while she continued to loud talk my daughter. At that point my # tag fell on the floor and the lady ran over to me checking to see what's in my basket...another no Africa America lady came back at that time and said to the lady..look her # tag dropped. I then asked the lady working the dressing room after she made such a big screen if she wanted to count everything in my buggy. I felt very humidity by the treatment I received and just because I am black does not mean I am going it on a dressing room to steal. I have a business of my own and would never treat anyone in this manner. Training...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried to buy something that had a small chip on it. The manager grabbed it out of the cashiers hand and said "we can't sell this it's broken and it's a liability!!" I asked her if I signed something saying I was okay buying something with the small chip, and paying their asking price was it okay? She then proceeded to yell at me saying "policy!!! It's policy!! And it'll have to be zeroed out in their system and thrown away" ... it wad a holiday item and the only one they had.. well... two days later we go back and guess what, the SAME item she took out if my hands was on the shelf exactly where I found it in the first place. This time I got it again, handed to the cashier with no manager around and purchased it..this timr it had an additional 2 more chips!! I really didn't care at this point it was more of an item I wanted because of how the manager acted saying she was going to throw it out but apparently put it back on the shelf. I did call another tj maxx and yes it is policy if something is broke they can't sell ONLY if someone can get hurt with it.. this item had a small chip originally that no one could have gotten hurt with because it was a small smooth chip. I wish I would have gotten the front end managers name because she was very unprofessional. Maybe next time act a little better in front of your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou could say Iām a frequent flyer at TJ Maxx and Iām always satisfied all around. Today Iām writing this because I wanted to pay homage to the extra care I received from the ladies at this location. When returning some clothes one of the friendly cashiers asked if there was anything wrong with any of the items. I explained Iām newly pregnant and struggling to find the right clothes for my ever changing body. She and the cashier next to her shared so much joy and congratulated me. They offered tips for items that may work better. Two days later I returned to purchase a thank you gift and the same cashier was greeting shoppers at the door. She recognized me immediately and offered me a big warm welcome. She asked how I was feeling and started to tell me about seasonal sales that have great deals on baby items. She made me feel like a million bucks. TJ Maxx does a great job in many ways but their team in Lady Lake is extra special and for that Iām a grateful and...
