I was so excited to try this place out while I was in the area and I was soo disappointed! I asked for chicken pho. No jalapeños no beansprouts (because it says it comes with it). The waitress asked with veggies I said cilantro and basil. She thought I wanted veggie soup so she charged me $3 more for chicken (when it was only a $2 difference on the menu). I just took it from the tip and won’t be back. The pho was the blandest thing I’ve ever eaten in my life, absolutely flavorless even with the spice added. In the photos, I took with the littlest piece of greens they gave me (which was mint, no cilantro or basil!) they also gave me jalapeños that I said I didn’t want. They did have chili oil but that too was bland. I did bring in my own spices and cilrantro (thankfully which saved my meal). For $19 I wouldn’t recommend at all. Bland flavor, small portion for the price, and no herbs to go with it. I’ve eaten at 100’s of restaurants that make pho, and this is probably the worst one I’ve ever had. I do not recommend at all.

The only thing tthat wasn't perfect was the waiter Kenny. Yes he was relatively ok at his job but there was no warm & fuzzy as top notch wait people are. Originally we had Destiny a beautiful girl with personality. Other than Kenny's shortcomings which are many the food was awesome. The owner sorry I don’t know her name was onsite & always spot on. My biggest regret I forgot to take my before pictures of our plates. Rest assured everything we had was spectacular. This restaurant will be on my hit list for return visits. As always, Apsara is & will always be my favorite but Apsara is up north in Providence, R. I. Bamboo Harden is now my southern #2 Asian restaurant. Kudos x 99. I don’t like giving negative reviews about food or staff but I’m spot on when I see less than stellar performance. Our return visit will be with a different waitperson. Can I add humor to this review?; no not really but get off your butts & go enjoy great food.

You can experience the unique taste of Asian dishes from China, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand at the Bamboo Bistro in The Villages! Their specialties include Peking Duck, Pepper Seared Filet Mignon and Seafood Delight. A variety of Asian beers and the extensive wine list will complement your meal. The menu has a large selection of dishes ranging from starters, lunch specials, dinners, hot pots, sushi and desserts. They also feature classic Asian soups like miso, hot and sour, shrimp wonton, tofu and vegetable and chicken coconut. Or maybe, a bento box with your choice of ingredients! Their small and average sushi bar has specialty creations like The Villages Roll, which has tempura white fish, shrimp, cream cheese and avocado, and the Godzilla roll, which is filled with tempura lobster tail and crab. With a great atmosphere, great food and great service, what more can you ask for? We will be back again!

I thought long and hard before writing this. I’ve been to this place 4 times now. The service itself is good. You can tell the servers do their job and do it well.

The food is an entirely different ball game. I would love to like this place but in all honestly they serve Asian cuisine for people who are not experienced in eating real Asian food at other restaurants. I kept going back to order different things just in case I was ordering the “wrong thing” but the conclusion I came to is that the food is sub par at best.

You either taste a high amount of salt, or you taste a deep fryer. Other than a heaping layer of sauce there isn’t much more flavor profile to anything I’ve had. This is ranging from the sushi, to calamari, to chicken fried rice.

Management has always been good to me when I’ve been there and so have the servers. The people at the front counter also do their job well from my experience.

I would like to see some more care go into the food. This place has the potential but there is an obvious level of complacency (probably because they’re just trying to impress villagers) that is preventing this restaurant from actually being good.

If you like the Olive Garden version of Chinese take out, this place is for you. If you’re versed in various Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese restaurants then you’ll more than likely find yourself writing a similar review.

I’m hoping management sees this and decides it’s time to change how they...

If you ask about this restaurant I'll probably just recommend the sushi, but for the rest of the menu I'll think twice. The spring rolls and the fried dumplings weren't that good it's like that the person didn't want to work. The soups were bland (we ordered miso soup and coconut and chicken soup, I have been eating miso soup since I was 12 years old and I'm in my 30's (is the easiest soup to make, even at home). My mother-in-law ordered the wok lunch special with beef and she also said her meat was bland. My husband and I ordered some sushi that was good I can give you 5 stars for that. The bento box (tempura shrimps, dumplings shrimp)I can say wasn't great either, when I read you can choose the protein and the dumplings I was excited about it. But when it arrived it didn't look that great; the shrimp dumplings (I was expecting a different dough) was a Ha kao (is usually for dim sum). If you are asking me if I recommend this restaurant I'll just recommend the sushi the rest of the food is like they don't want to make it you can notice in the way the presentation. I can't complain about our server Tyler he was the best and the atmosphere is ok, but usually I don't go to a restaurant for how it looks like I just go for the food and if the service is good it is a plus. I don't think...

We must have been here at an inopportune time, but whether we were or were not doesn't have any sway on my review. Swift and honest it will be.

We saw three different people waiting our table. One would say they would be right back but would never return. While who I assume is either the manager or the owner, a petite Asian woman in a pants suit, made attempts to serve our table, the actual waiters were obviously displeased with something and showed it with scowls and callousness. I attempted to joke with the one we ended up with to no avail, cold as a fish she was.

The food was mediocre at best, and downright lazy at worst. My significant other's dish took far too long to arrive, it got to the point we were actively discussing paying for what we had eaten and leaving.

The atmosphere was crowded, small, and it felt as though a cloud hung in the air.

It got to the point, with the way we were treated, that my significant other began to question if he had done something wrong or if he looked disheveled and unkempt to warrant such dismissal from the staff.

That is when I decided I would write this.

That is my impression of this place. We will never return and I wish a hearty good luck and God speed to...
