terrible in store customer/return service. i bought jacket for my son online, full price, and they send it to me with tear on it, so when i went to the store to get new one as it's chilly outside, and i don't have time to wait for shipping, i thought i may return the one defective as i am going to Dillard's anyway. oh my god the store manager herself, seemed to be having a bad day or something like that, she treated the lady before me horribly because she asked whether she can have 2 packages for 2 separate gifts, the answer was a dry, clear cut NO! no we are sorry! we can't do that. now comes my turn, she opened the box carelessly, in hurry, did not look at the defect, not even sure if she looked at me at all in fact! and said i need the tag, i told her that i have it home, i can go grab it, and i was looking at phone to show her the order, she got probably bored or something so she quickly said, u don't have the slip that comes with the package, can't return, i told her not many people keep the paper that comes with the packaging, all info that u need to return the package are in my accout, and I'm going to get the tags and be back, i live 7 min away from the store, she just ignored me and won't even look at my phone, i told her whether she needs me to print the receipt and the order number or whatever online info she needs, she just said, no paper reciept (the slip/receipt), no return! Next !! Outrageous, paper reciept, who the heck still use those. what unprofessional, rude disrespectful service. that has been said, other employees were very nice, they met me while i was leaving the store, and they asked for the tags and they said they can get the info they need for return in my account, but when they knew who rejected my inquiry, they couldn't as it seems that she is THE boss!! i have customer for long time and this is my favorite store for the kids clothes, but will be looking for an alternative which is not hard to find. guys, this is your falt u sent me a defective item, i paid full price, the kid was wearing his small jacket because you didn't do your job, you waisted my time, my energy, you are still charging me some kind of fees for restocking the jacket, and that lady ruined my day with her rudeness and unprofessional behavior. i am just going to return it in the post office. and by the way the tag was in the...

Sales associates are very friendly when you are making a purchase, but the moment you try to return something, the attitude completely changes. I bought a two-piece outfit, one piece in-store and one online. When I went to return the item on the 3rd floor, the associate was immediately rude and asked me what was wrong with it. Nothing was wrong. The pants were simply too big. She took that item but told me I had to go to the 2nd floor to return the matching top, even though it would have been easy for her to send it downstairs herself.
When I went to the 2nd floor, I was met with even worse treatment. The associate rolled her eyes before I even finished explaining. She asked again what was wrong with the item and refused to process my return because the proof-of-purchase sticker was missing. I showed her the proof-of-purchase barcode on my phone from my Dillard’s account, but she still refused to help and even walked away while I was trying to pull it up, clearly hoping I would give up.
Thankfully, another associate stepped in and was able to process my return using the same barcode I had tried to show the previous employee. It was a frustrating and unnecessary ordeal that made me feel disrespected as a customer.

They are constantly trying to get you to apply for a credit card telling you it is a rewards card one of the associates told my daughter that she was not applying for a credit card and it would not affect her credit at all that was a flat-out lie my daughter is a college kid and cannot afford to be running up credit cards when she does not even have a job to pay for them and for the love of God please quit harassing me for pre-sales every single time I turn around they are calling you emailing you and chasing you down the store with Flyers trying to make you presale something in the store why am I going to pre-sale something I can take home today it's people and stores like this that make me thankful for...
