Updating this once more: this review led to a regional manager getting involved. After several phone calls and emails, I was able to communicate my concerns directly to the store manager who was an Earth Angel.
ETA: I was dumb enough to try to shop the store again. I'm once again in town with my daughter. As she is having issues with an underlying medical problem I decided to take her to Ulta to do a big shop at the spring haul rather than shop online because nothing makes epilepsy better than immediate gratification. I regrettably ended up spending $159. It would have been more but when we approached Reganne and said 'excuse me', the response was a sideways glance and then being ignored as she went to go put on perfume. Reganne! You lost your store a major self tanning regime purchase. This is what we came for! We're in the car ordering it online outside your store. Once again the store was disorganized, many of the testers were clearly in need of replacing and the one employee circulating in makeup answering questions clearly had no idea what they were doing based on what we heard them discussing with other customers, to the point neither of us felt comfortable asking her questions about back stock etc.
This isn't a place we shop casually. We usually come here when we're looking to do some major damage. It's just entirely disappointing that we need to cross the store off our list.
Never have I ever been so offended in a store. I went in with the intention of having a bit of a shopping spree for my daughter who is here at Purdue and in need of a pick me up. I ended up being trailed by an employee who clearly thought I was there to shoplift. At several points she was actually in the way of my shopping. By the time I reached the front of the store, the employee at the cash wrap was repositioning herself to be closer to me as a looked in the bins. There were many other people in the store. I was the only one being trailed. I ended up rushing through and buying only a set of press ons and a face wash - partly because I felt uncomfortable and partly because the employee trailing me stayed in such close proximity she actually blocked some of the things I was trying to shop for.
I'll be the first to admit that I probably stand out here - my head is half shaved and I have facial piercings - but I'm also a beauty junkie. This was my third time in the store this week and I've spent money each time. I had noticed the store was rather disheveled and a lot of items were out of stock but I wrote that off to it being a busy time due to the sale and the start of classes at the colleges. After my experience last night, I'm more inclined to believe this location is poorly run and unprofessional. We've never had an experience like this at other locations - neither the disheveled store nor the hostile staff. Major disappointment. My daughter will refrain from from shopping this location in the future.
The included picture is what kept me from buying more than one set of nails. Every time I re-entered the aisle she stood in...
Read moreI wish I was able to give them zero stars. I went there to do a Keratin treatment and it went wrong, after following up with them and calling them they agreed to redo it for free. I went again for the redo however it didn't work either. Putting into consideration that this wasn't my first Keratin treatment and wasn't the first keratin treatment I have received at ULTA. So I tried to call the store several times to see what they can do next with promising of calling me back which never happened. At last they told me we can't do anything for you and if you still not satisfied you can file a formal complaint through the customer service. I called customer service to file a complaint with the promise to get a call back or to solve the problem within 48 hours. Nothing happened in those 48 hours so I called again and the customer service agent told me that he sent an email to the district manager and the store and I should expect a reply within 48 hours otherwise the customer service department will take ownership over the issue and solve it. After 48 hours nobody called me, I called the customer service department for the 3rd time, the agent told me that he sent a communication to the district manager and I should be expecting a call from him either way. After a day of that communication, I have received a call from the store saying that they have agreed to refund the cost of the service back and I should go to the store to receive the refund. I went to the store on the same day, the person in charge of the refund talked down to me that they made a research about Keratin treatment and it doesn't usually give you the results you wish for and I tried repeatedly explaining to her that this wasn't my first Keratin treatment at ULTA and before I was highly satisfied with the result I got but she kept talking down to me. I called the customer service on that day to update them that I have received the refund however my complaint is not resolved because I was promised a call from the district manager which I haven't received yet and I am not satisfied from the level of customer service I have received from the store. The 48 hours limit for the my last call to the customer service department was over and I called them again and still waiting for someone in this organization who cares enough about ULTA's customers. I no longer believe that this place deliver their promises about the quality of product or the...
Read moreI’m thankful this store has come, but between Meijer, Target and all the drugstores nearby you can get more of a selection of drugstore makeup and they carry many of the same brands as the JCP Sephora. I’d like to see them carry more skincare. Ultimately the draw for this store is the Mac selection (& hopefully Morphe, but it’s still too soon to see if they’ll expand their in-store offerings). I’ve found everyone is very polite and i usually get asked if I need help; however, I’ve asked on several occasions if they have more product in the back as the display for a certain item is very small and I always get “um, I think everything is out” and I’ve received this response several times by different people usually when the store isn’t busy. I happen to know that there’s usually some product in the back of these stores if only the salesperson will go look—on Christmas Eve at a crazy time I was at another Ulta and the manager said the same thing but since there was a new evening sale on a product she went and looked and came back with 4 more items to put out, including the blush I wanted. Obviously this isn’t always the case, but it would be helpful if you could change that “um I think” to something more definite. It just comes across very lazy when the salesperson says “I think it’s all out—check back on Friday when we get new stuff”, why not just check in the back now or even recommend something else and...
