I make it a point to eat at Firehouse to support our first responders. I just relocated here from San Diego and was happy to see that there was a Firehouse in Lafayette. I Stopped in and ordered my favorite sub. The Turkey Bacon Ranch and loaded potato soup. I've eaten at least 1 of these combos every month for the past 2 years... ok so I would switch it up to the hook and ladders every once in awhile. Well I might have to reconsider this habbit and find a new sub shop or just get the soup. The sandwich that they served me today was horrible. I actually threw it out. The bread was soggy, the bacon was way undercooked; done, but no where near chrispy, the lettuce looked wilted, and the tomatoes were mushy. TO top it off it had a very small piece of onion. I showed up to the restaurant at 8:36pm and it wasn't ready yet but one of the employees claimed it was "coming right up." It was literally one minute before they closed at 9pm when I had finally received my order of 2 medium subs. The employee then apologized for the wait but justified it by saying it is because they "put everything away at 8pm." That just sounds like they are trying to get off work as soon as possible and hope to receive no more orders. Terrible customer service and sense of urgency. I went in today during my lunch break and there were 2 employees being extremely rude to each other, which created an awkward experience for those waiting for the food(myself included). The young lady trying to bag a rather large to go order was acting extremely overwhelmed and in exchange focuses that towards the customer picking up the order. He tried telling her the app said ready to pick up and she yelled at him saying she knows she is trying to bag it and she cant tell him which drinks were ordered. Customer service was non existent.
