I am at this Sonic an embarrassing number of times each week, because of my out of control Slush habit. Happy hour makes all drinks, shakes, and slushes half price so honestly you can't beat that, and I find myself here more often than I'd like to admit, just grabbing a lil snack of a 44 oz blue raspberry slush with extra syrup and nerds. Which...is not too much sugar, thanks. I could survive consuming more, with practice. But anyway, the service and staff can be hit or miss and they can very rarely hear anything you say through the drive through mic, which seems like something they'd look into repairing but apparently not a priority. About half of them get surprisingly rude and aggressive with you when they aren't able to hear you, despite the fact that you're leaning half way out of the car and shouting as loud as you can. This is not really appropriate but honestly, it could be damn exhausting to have to struggle with equipment all day, only to be able to hear less than half of what customers say anyway. So I try to cut them some slack, even when the issues lead to me not getting any of my food, just my drink and my husband's food and drink, which amounts to about $9 worth of food missing. That's enough to insist that you receive the food seeing as how you paid for it. When I parked and walked over to the patio area to try and get an employee to help get the food straightened out for me, I waited for several minutes, being ignored repeatedly, and then it became sort of obvious they knew I was there and didn't have the staff to come assist, or some other obstacle to coming to talk to me. Either way, I didn't want to cause actual issues or get in their way of getting back on track with the drive through line. I just went home, but I did definitely wish I had my food when it was all said and done. Not a great experience, which isn't always the case here. Read moreMy partner and I had one of our absolute WORST fast-food experiences at this Sonic location. We waited at least 40 minutes for our food upon our arrival and after checking in on the app. I finally called to check the status of our order. We received only half of our order and the food we did receive was very cold, stale, and soggy. When I called to let them know that we only received half of our order, we were met with attitude from the lady answering the call button.
After receiving the second half of our order (which was also brought to us cold), I noticed that my Ultimate Meat and Cheese Breakfast Burrito contained only sausage and egg and was almost entirely tortilla. I was again met with attitude from the worker when I let them know the burrito was not correctly prepared. I waited 25 minutes for the second burrito, and had to call yet again to check on the status of my order only to discover it had not yet been made.
Upon receiving the remade burrito, it too was not made correctly and was missing the tater tots. I pulled through drive-thru to ask once more for the burrito to be made correctly. After waiting 10 more minutes for a third burrito to be made and returning the two incorrectly made burritos, it too was not made correctly, this time entirely missing the bacon and had MAYBE a quarter of a sausage patty worth of sausage. My initial order was placed at 11:28 PM. At this point, it was past 1 AM and as I pulled out of the drive-thru, the lights were turned off. I never received my correctly made burrito.
I never received an apology throughout the duration of this entire experience. I will be extremely reluctant to ever return to this Sonic location again and most definitely won’t be recommending...
Read moreMy personal opinion is Sonic has great food. Love the onion rings and I'm still giving them 5 stars an a good review. However, today we ordered through their app to have it ready when we got there. As I commonly do, I order the onion rings to go with my cheeseburger. We placed our order, got there, pressed the code button to let them know what slot we were in and 2 minutes later our food was brought out. However, no onion rings because they were out. This isn't about food shortages, supply chains or employees or employment. It's the fact that nothing on the app notified us they were out, no text messages ,nothing. The girl simply handed us a sack and our drinks and was going to let us go. Thanks to McDonald's, my wife dove in the sack to check the order an noticed no onion rings, told the girl, and she went in to get them. The manager came out and told us they didn't have any and could refund us the price or substitute something else. I said fries. It took 5 minutes to get them and the were almost cold and while not positive, gave us at an even trade even though the ff were $0.80 less. There should be some way through the app to notify us of this kind of situation so we can adjust our order before we get there. I may not use the app again. All places have issues occasionally and we will definitely eat at Sonic again as after 50 some visits, this is the first issue we've had and it actually is all about the app. It needs a...
