Wish I had other options for my area. Got started on a plan and wasn't aware there was a data cap. In the year of 2023 I didn't realize this was still a thing! Getting extra data almost doubled the price of my plan. I'm now paying nearly $150 just for internet.
Then I had a card get stolen and had to replace it. I forgot Cox was on the old card so I got an email from them saying my card was declined. Within the hour I updated my card and paid the bill. It was never late. Then a week later I got a letter from them saying they were charging me $25 for the denied payment. This isn't a check that actually costs them money if it gets declined. It's for a debit card, which cost them nothing... Imagine if your card got declined at a restaurant and they added $25 to your bill! That's not a thing.
This company is a joke and they wouldn't be in business if they didn't still have a monopoly on wifi...
Read moreI just wanted to give a shout out to an outstanding employee that works for COX. His name is Dustin and he was a superstar. Our Services went out mid morning and was still out at 4pm. We had been gone most of day so didn’t really miss it until we got back. My 89 year old father is pretty stationary and loves to have TV on. I called COX and they determined I needed a technician to come out and check my equipment. Well, Dustin called about an hour before his appointment window to tell me my whole Townhome Complex in Laguna Hills has been down . He communicated through the whole process. He even came by to see if all of our equipment worked. Especially my father. He was so professional and courteous. He was patient and easy to talk to. We got everything situated and we were just so impressed by his attitude and empathy for the TV addicted. ...

I wasn’t satisfied last two months service, always on and off internet, so annoying, so many times called technician support, one pick up from other side of the earth. Didn’t do anything. So I closed internet July 1st, and moved others service the same day, then I requested from guy who at office, take whatever I owe you, he took my id and card, after confirming sth from his tablet, he said everything done. But end of the month I got mail, for late payment +$25, I was shocked. Why they didn’t charge whatever I owe them when I closed internet. Try to rob own leaving customer, lost their reputation. I paid today what I owe them which supposed to be charged July 1st. ( they didn’t do it with purpose , even they had my credit information). Crucial Late payment excuse...
