June 7,2025 at 10am: updates! So this is now our 4th time here and we continue to love the pastries and breakfast offerings- all great and service is quick! HOWEVER their drink bar needs ALOT of improvements! Hot drink orders (mine was mocha) take FOREVER to come out. Long lines of people waiting and looking at their watches. It’s quite disappointing as they seemed to be adequately staffed. So I specifically ordered the coffee for here in their mugs, last 2 times they came out in a Togo cup! This is NOT why I ordered the drink again, otherwise I could’ve just gone to any coffee shop. Today it got worse- I waited over 40min and it still didn’t arrive after we had finished our breakfast (which was wonderful). So at first I asked the waiter and he finally brought out my coffee but it was again in Togo cup, I said I wanted it in a mug - he said ok they working on it. I waited another 15min, still nothing! So I went to the bar and noted my wait - a lady immediately took my receipt and started working on it and asked if I wanted in mug or Togo, I said a mug please ( it was explicitly noted on the receipt), and within 5-7min she handed me the mug of mocha - no apologies for my wait! OK whatever no biggie, I headed to my table, took a quick snapshot of my coffee and was about to take a sip finally, but then I saw a thin hair strand floating on top! That was it for me. I brought it back to the bar and asked for a refund- same lady took my receipt and said Ok, again no apologies at all! She didn’t know how to do the return so she asked another cashier man (nice blond man with light shave at pastry side) to help. As soon as he took my receipt and started the return, he said “I’m sorry about this” - that’s all I wanted, some form of customer service!
To the owners/manager: you have a lovely bakery, and I understand it can get quite busy and hectic, but please just help to train your drink staff to have better customer service and perhaps better training in making the drinks. A simple apology and perhaps “gift/credit” for long waits will go a long way to retain loyal customers like me. ( I’ve been going to your other store for years now). All other areas are doing great!
Mid-May:Beautiful new spot here in Laguna! Same wonderful pastries as other local, but this place is extra spacious, lots of seating, beautiful interior lighting, and great service staff! We love all the pastries and sunrise croissants, but decided to branch out today and all the breakfast dishes were amazing - lovely presentation...

I usually order takeout and am always satisfied and usually they are so nice and throw in free pastries for my daughter. This morning, 5/25/25 I thought we could eat inside and enjoy this new, beautiful, open restaurant. I ordered my daughter french toast and hot chocolate and I got my usual Turkey Sandwich Pesto on Foccoccia bread. The sandwiches are pre-made in the display and they only have to plate them. My daughter's French toast came out and she ate and I waited for our sandwich and hot chocolate to come out. After 20 minutes my daughter was done eating, so I told them to just put the sandwich and hot chocolate to go. No biggie. I was going to order another sandwich for a friend on the way out but could see this was taking too long. We waited another 10 minutes and I came back to see the progress on our pre-made sandwich and hot chocolate. They asked for my receipt. My order flag # 23 was on the table, I just paid 38$ with a 5$ tip for a sandwich and French toast and now they don't think I paid for my order. One more thing, I paid with my credit card and it gives option for no receipt, which I chose, because I didn't think I would need it. I knew my order was number 23 and I had the marker. Read moreMy friend and I came here for breakfast for the first time and both got the sunrise croissant. It was the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in a long time. We met the manager Tami who is an absolute delight. We sat at the counter and watched trays of amazing pastries come out and be placed in the glass display as people were ordering. We also shared an apricot danish and a strawberry one with cream. OMG! The line was out the door the entire time. We are definitely coming back to try their lunch as well. I tried to post another review, but the system wouldn’t let me. Ao here we go: Two days later, today Monday, we went back to try the lunch. The menu has various options and I was happy to find one vegetarian sandwich on there and decided to try it. I’m not a big fan of eggplants and wish it was offered with zucchini. Nevertheless, I ordered it without eggplant, but added avocado and cheese and it was spectacular. My friend ordered the tuna sandwich on a croissant and I wish I had ordered my sandwich that way instead of the baguette, which was still delicious but I just love their croissants.
