Elam's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Laguna Niguel

I am so very sad. When this store was Diane's Hallmark- it was fabulous. The employees were always so nice and helpful and customer service was over the top. It was always a great experience when I went. Now it is the worst. It was purchased by the Elam family about a year ago. The employees are RUDE and unaccommodating. To add to the insult, the Elam Family owners have added 3% surcharge to ALL transactions. There is literally a notice posted at the register stating "due to the rising wage in California, a 3% surcharge will be added to all transactions ... ". This store is so very convenient to me and I have tried on several occasions to give this store and the new employees a second, third, fourth and fifth chance; however, my last visit was truly my last.
