CUSTOMERS BEWARE! I went into this store to return 2 items and received a “Khols Corporate Refund.” Which meant, I walk out of the store WITHOUT ANY COMPENSATION for my returned items, except a return receipt and good faith that Khols will send my refund via mail within 7-10 days. It’s now been an entire month and I’ve yet to get my refund. So I called the Khols customer service number on my return receipt and only until then was I made aware that my “corporate refund” actually required additional information on my behalf before Khols would even BEGIN TO PROCESS AND SEND MY REFUND. When I called this store and explained to the manager that I was never made aware of this fact that it was my sole responsibility to call into their customer service and provide more info about my items I returned in store in order for me to obtain my rightfully due refund, the manager couldn’t provide any explanation nor any solution for this extreme inconvenience on behalf of Khols instructing their employees to falsify claims about customers allotted refunds, NOR IS ANYTHING MENTIONED ON THE RETURN RECEIPT ABOUT THIS POLICY. BECAUSE IT WON’T BE 7-10 DAYS IF YA DON’T CALL, IT’LL BE NEVER. How many unsuspecting customers has Khols cheated into giving up their returned items without any rightful compensation upon leaving the store, except a paper receipt which promises a refund will come in the mail in 7-10 days yet never actually does? Long story short-I feel the need to bring these incredibly suspicious Khols return policies to accountability, and for this reason, I’ve subsequently filed a complaint with the BBB and submitted a small claims lawsuit against Khols for Corporate Fraud. Tip to the manager of this place: Educate the employees about the Khols refund processes so that they may give customers the correct and necessary information and instructions to receive their refund in the 7-10 days that is said promised at the time of the return and also printed on the return receipt so that this claims is made true. Read moreI've always had such good customer service at Kohl's. However, we just moved to the area and went to the Laguna Niguel Kohl's location. We've been there twice now, and our experiences have not been what we would expect from Kohl's.
Almost every time we tried to talk to an employee they were talking to other employees on their little communication devices. They would just have us sit there for up to minutes without even acknowledging us. When finished talking, one employee even complained and complained about how their manager treated them. Then several times, the employees would stop talking to us and start talking through their devices while in the middle of talking to us mid-sentence. This happened several times.
I believe it was the manager (we dealt with her at customer service one time and again at check-out) had a bad attitude with us and kept trying to get us to sign-up for the Kohl's credit card (even after we said no several times). Then she kept talking into her communication device while we were trying to talk to her.
We were asked to sign-up for the Kohl's credit card 6+ times while there. One lady was even wandering around the store going from person to person. The selling techniques were a little abrasive. Then when we asked customer service a question we were given the sales pitch for the Kohl's credit card over and over again after saying no. Then we were asked another 2 times at check-out!

The store is so tightly packed that you can't maneuver the tiny cart without hitting everything. The dressing room associate was very abrupt and rude. As soon as I entered she said please bring out what you don't buy. I said ok. After trying on some shirts i go to her and hand her the shirts with hangers. She just motions to a rack near her and says just hang them there. I said um ok. Then I was wanting to exchange my clothes for other so after waiting at guest Services I was told to go to cashier. The cashier looked like he hated his job. He was greatly relieved when his system said that he cant exchange. So he sent me back to guest services. I went to guest services again in a long line, returned my stuff and placed my other stuff that I wanted to purchase. Lady at guest ervices says, wait are you buying these? This is a lot you need to go to cashier. I refused and said listen I've been back and forth like 3 times please just scan my stuff so I can leave. She said yes but I have a line already and for future you need to go to cashier. I said yes yes thank you. She scans my stuff quickly I leave.
