Hobby Lobby is one of my very favorite stores like most women my age lol I was soooo disappointed with my last visit. I was with my mom and while we were checking out she got really sick, I told her to go sit in the car that I would take care of checking out. The lady at the register agreed and told her to go ahead. None of us were thinking about the fact that she was still pushing the buggy, everything was rang up that was in her buggy but we had a second buggy still being rang up. Anyway, she makes her way out the first doors and one of the managers stops her (understandably) but is so incredibly rude to her. My mom was overly apologetic and told her that she was so sorry, she wasn't feeling well at all and it slipped her mind; this "assistant manager" was so ugly to her😡 I didn't find this out until after the fact. When I left the store I figured she had everything packed up already because the buggy was gone so I get to the car to check on my mom and to load the rest of our purchase and my mom looks out the car to see me with just my one buggy and asked where the other buggy was; I'm confused so she fills me in, she said that lady in there yelled at her and told her "you can go be sick where ever you want but you ain't taking that buggy anywhere!" my mom proceeded to tell her ok my daughters inside taking care of the payment now (points me out) and asks if she would give me the buggy when I was done paying because she needed to sit down. The woman said that's fine. I walked straight passed this woman, she didn't say a single word to me, instead waits til I get to my vehicle to literally shove my buggy out the Hobby Lobby door and of course it just continues to roll. I paid for those items, I spent quite a large sum in Hobby Lobby! For her to one, treat ANY customer like that is trash and two, to treat someone who spent that much money with her employer with such little to no respect would lead one to believe she does not deserve nor want the name tag or title of Assistant Manager. It was very upsetting, anyone could have taken my buggy (it was completely full) had I not turned around when I did. I had no idea it was my mom's buggy, the lady assured my mom she would give it to me. I don't understand the hostility and just complete lack of customer care/service. The name of the "Assistant Manager" was Ms. Yolanda. She alone absolutely ruined my mom and my experience at Hobby Lobby for the first time ever and quite frankly and unfortunately made me not want to go back, if people like that are in charge of the store AND customer care, it's not the Hobby Lobby...
Read moreAsked for framing protection bags (to protect 4 pics I had framed there, small fortune in framing. While having interior painting done) that are placed on art work when you have items framed there.. was treated like I was asking for "GOLD" & had no business asking for such by "Janet", after I had explained in detail why I would like 4 bags. Janet presented an aggressive unfriendly attitude regarding my request & rather than being friendly, helpful & accommodating this simple request she had to notify mgmt. 😞 "Nicole", (mgmt) arrived to the framing dept. I made the same request wanting to simply protect the art work i paid Hobby Lobby to frame for me while this interior painting is being done... I was "scolded" by Nicole this is NOT something they can do daily.. what?? I don't have my home's interior painted daily, weekly, monthly or yearly! Between Janet & Nicole they turned this into a quite unpleasant visit. Nicole told me upon unhappily giving me 4 bags .. "better not see ya on the news, wrapping a dead body up in these"... omg, not humorous! Inappropriate & insulting considering we have experienced deadly tragedy within my family. Why did such a simple request have to be so very unpleasant? I enjoy Hobby Lobby, like most people & have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful & courteous.. however, Janet ( in framing) & Nicole (in mgmt) are the exception & an embarrassment to...
Read moreOne of my favorite places to just walk around and look.
Location: by target & a strip mall but does not share a parking lot or connect. Easy to find by gps.
Parking: enough spots. No shade. Does not share a lot with surrounding stores. Free.
Atmosphere: fairly calm on a normal day (if you go during holiday clearance, its overwhelmingly busy). Instrumental music only played. Decent lighting. Layout is okay. Their bathrooms are usually not the cleanest.
Staff: hard to sometimes find people on the floor unless they are actively stocking holiday. I wish they had more checkers at the registers bc it gets backed up easily. Was there a week ago with two checkers, the lines were super backed up and instead of a manager jumping on a register to help, she instead leaned against a counter and (to me) tried to act busy reading something. I really feel like she was just trying to get out of helping.
Items: holiday decor, room/home decor, floral, hand towels, fabric, yarn, frames, paint & drawing supplies, scrapbooking, wood working (small items), jewelry making, kids crafts, wedding, etc.
Pros: fairly good selection of items. Calm and easy to browse.
Cons: lack of checkers/staff, I miss their 40% off regular item coupons!...
