Firstly, I’d like to commend the owner and staff on their preparedness for their opening day. I expected a line, but it moved extremely quick to get my coffee order in and check out my purchases. I decided on the Literary Latte and added vanilla and it was extraordinary! I’ve tried almost every coffee place town and by far this was the tastiest, not to mention to the perfect pep I felt after finishing it off! There were SO many books to choose from!!! The atmosphere was preppy, vibrant, and all around joyfulness. The store was packed but I still managed to get what I wanted and everyone was so considerate of each other due to the enormous crowd. What a gorgeous bookstore. Not a huge selection but what they do have are gorgeous books that should be displayed on a book lover's shelf. I found a book I liked and moved to the candles, finding one that was a perfect blend. I was looking around for an employee and realized there was a young person slumped behind the register on their phone. My colleague asked how much the candle was and they stared blankly before saying "Around $10." I blinked a few times, thanked them, and made my way out without my book or candle. I don't need effusive customer service but if the only employee in sight can't tell me the price of an unmarked item that's definitely one if their main products, I'm not feeling very motivated to shop at the store, or believe I'll get the right price. Was in the area for my brother's wedding and wanted to look for a local cafe for coffee options. Staying at the Home2suites and saw that Krew's was a short walk away so I had to check it out. Found out they just opened 3 weeks ago! This space is gorgeous and very well put together. The owner has put a lot of love and energy into the space. Was so very happy to see such queer representation as well! If you're looking for a woman run business, or a safe place for queer folx; this is the place to go.
