Angelish Nail Salon — Local services in Lake Elmo

I agree with other recent reviews about how the changes to this nail salon have not been positive. We have been coming to this nail salon for months. Unfortunately, many of the nail techs left in the Spring, and it’s been hard to find any reliable replacements. My mom had a negative experience with TT. When you are paying to have your nails done, you should be able to ask for specifics on how you want your nails to look. TT has said “your mom keeps asking me to do things (like cut cuticles or shorten her nails) and I say yeah yeah and then do what I want.” This isn’t professional, kind, or a way to treat customers. TT has also cut my mom’s skin (twice) with blood coming out. Not acceptable for a “professional.”

An did a nice job with dip nails, but often left to go clean/sweep or take care of other things during my appointment. This meant my time was getting wasted waiting. We have had multiple occasions where we’ve made appointments with specific people, but still have to wait 10-15 minutes before services start.

All the nail techs who left in the Spring have moved to another local nail salon (Daisy Nails in case anyone else is looking for Ari, Katie, or Ami). I’m looking forward to having my nails done by them again.

My daughter and I have been going to Angelish for years as all of the nail technicians have always been very sweet, good at what they do, and the salon has always been neat and clean. However, something has changed, and not for the better, as I notice that many of the nail technicians have left and it has been harder to reach anyone during business hours to make an appt. After this past Saturday, when my daughter and I had an appt there, I was treated rudely and talked down to by the nail technician who gave me a pedicure. Also, the staff closed down at 3pm but the hours state that they should be open until 6:00pm. I figured someone should have stayed in case a person walked in? Perhaps the hours online should be revised? Anyway, I gave this review one star as she did...

Nice little nail salon that's clean and conveniently located. They make scheduling appointments super easy; you can just text them to make one or to inquire about availability (currently they're closed on Sundays). I've been going here for several years now and have seen pretty much all their nail techs, but my go-tos are Kelri and now An.

They take their time, have great attention to detail, and know exactly what your nails need. They'll recommmend the best type of manicure, nail shape, etc. depending on your actual needs, habits, & lifestyle, and don't just try to push whatever's the most expensive.
