To start: The Service and Staff were good. Had an average experience with selecting, bying and picking up. Where this company fall completly on the negitive, and I mean terible, is the fact that when I got my furniture home they were very damaged. I could not see this when I picked them up because of the wraping on the two pieces, but when I opened them the fabric was like someone drug it across a floor, the legs in on were not drilled proporly and the botom dust sheild was torn. The first place they fell short that probably could have prevented this was that my furniture sat in their facility for about 6 weeks due to the fact I told them not to bring it to their store for about 3 weeks becuase we were building our house and that would be the earliest I could pick it up and they said ok. I started reciving phone calls that they were in within 3 days after puchase. Did not follow my directions that I was told no problem. Second was the damage. Third and the most disapointing is that even though they were going to take care of the damage, was that I had to take time off of work to meet their inspector on their time. Now I make money on production, so not being at work cost me money. I wil have had to do this twice by the time it is over. The amount of time this is taking is also a problem. 2 Months, really!!! I am sorry but in my profession, when a mistake is made we do everything to make it right and as inconvienet on the customer as we can. We do everything for them. We cater to their schedual not what is convinent to us. Also this is the first time I have ever bought nice furniture and was very excited only to be very dissapointed and inconvinenced with nothing but terible customer service. Read moreWe bought a couch a year ago, first time sitting on it one of the support legs broke. I get that’s not Becker’s fault, but we bought the 5 year warranty for $400 (which should not be used do to manufactures warranty), we have reach out via phone, email, stopped in store, left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, at some point you just get sick of dealing with it, so that’s why I’m here. I like their stuff and want to continue to buy from them, but will never again due to the customer Sevice side. I hope this triggers some sort response at the management level. At that point I may change my review, but right now I will not be buying from Becker anytime soon. **Update - Becker called, they offered me a $100 gift card, still have not seen it. Manager of Woodbury store called and deeply apologized and said “please be patient,” I feel like they have been saying this for the last year. We bought a sofa table with stools last year also, (didn’t want to bring this up) but one of the chairs material was frayed. Becker mentioned they changed warranty companies and they would get ahold of me right away to fix, still no call. Again I get we have had a heck of a year, but I cannot take anymore time stopping in the store or calling a 800 number and go through the whole process, we have been getting the run around over and over. Just come pick up our couch and refund our money.
Update 8/4 Still stopping in and calling every other week, still same false promises. Enough is enough, this has been going on since pre pandemic. Every employee we talk to has recognized what we have been through, all we wanted was a couch that is not broken, now we just want our money back, which the last call in the employee said she is starting the return process. Read moreI had bought a couch from the Roseville location and love it. However around the same time I purchased an entertainment center from the Woodbury location. This was a display model and the salesman had went over all the scratches and flaws prior to delivery. They did cancel the delivery charge since I paid for the delivery for the couch. When I received my entertainment center it was not the one I had looked at in Woodbury. It was missing shelves just like the display model in Roseville. I got a call after delivery and asked how delivery went. I told them it was missing 3 (half) shelves. They said they would get back to me. They called back and said it was a discontinued item and can't help me. My feeling is why do a walk through of the item if it isn't exactly the same one you are buying? So about a month goes by and I get a call saying they can get the shelves for me. I am thinking they are getting them custom made. So the gf drove to Becker to drop one of the shelves off to show them what it looks like and the dimensions. A few weeks go by and I get a call to pick them up. I get there and all I got was my shelf back and some glass for the shelves but not the actual shelves! I got a $250 gift card for our troubles but wasn't happy about the time it took to drive to Becker MN only to end up where we were before! So I spent over 5K on the couch and entertainment center and I do love the couch but next time I will never buy a display item unless I pick it up myself! I get that the shelves were no longer made by the manufacturer. What upset me was why do a walk through of the open box item and document all the scuffs and problems with the item if it isn't the same item...
