We ordered a single cheeseburger meal w/ cheese curds and Sprite, and an additional single cheeseburger, a small Turtle Sundae and a small Strawberry Pineapple Blizzard. I attempted to parially pay with DQ Gift Card. I was told there is no balance on the card. (Once home, I called and verified there is an available balance on the card because he got a card error.) I was given the Strawberry Pineapple Blizzard and a Turtle Pecan Blizzard. When I told the crew member I had ordered a Turtle Sundae, he said it was the same thing, just in a different cup. I said it was not. When I got the Sundae, it had been made with the hard chocolate for dipped cones rather than hot fudge. Another crew member handed a small bag out, and asked, "Single cheese and Bacon Ranch?" I said it should be 2 single cheese and cheese curds. And a Sprite. The first crew member then asked if I'd gotten my Sprite. No. He returned with that. I was then handed a torn bag with 2 burgers and cheese curds. Assuming I had 2 cheeseburgers, I drove away. We ate our ice cream first (obviously), and opened the burgers... a cheeseburger ( which was slathered in ketchup) and a bacon ranch. So half of the order was correct, and I still have a valid gift card. So...
Read moreThe food at this Dairy Queen was okay — not great, but not terrible either. Just decent enough if you’re craving something quick and familiar. What really stood out to me, though, was the attitude of the cashier. He didn’t seem very cheerful or engaged, and it felt like he didn’t really want to be there.
I understand that — he seemed like a teenager, and from what I could see, the whole team working there was made up of teenagers. That gave me some doubts about the overall quality of service and food preparation. Speaking from personal experience working in restaurants, it’s common for younger staff to lack the same level of care or attention to detail, and unfortunately, that often shows in the final product.
One more thing that stood out was that the cashier had very long hair, which made me feel a little uneasy about food hygiene. It made me wonder how careful they really are when preparing meals. Cleanliness and presentation matter, especially in food service
There didn’t appear to be any adults or supervisors on site, which might explain the lack of energy and oversight. While I don’t expect perfection, having a bit more professionalism and guidance could really improve both the service and the...
Read moreI did not see a single adult when I was there. The kids running the place were swearing and goofing off. I had a mobile order and it took about 5 minutes for someone to come to the register to let them know I was there. I was on time for what my estimate said but my blizzard was so melted they told me they put it in the freezer to solidify it. When they eventually brought it out to me it was still quite melted and they made no offer to remake it and there was melted ice cream all over the side. The hot fudge Sunday had cold fudge on it. The Dr Pepper was so flat and water down that my partner couldn’t even tell me what kind of soda I ordered. There was also two other groups that had to demand the attention of the kids to get their orders. One guy had to go ask if the workers were doing okay because they forgot about their order and when they got their order they gave them melted sundays. The other group was a dad and son who came in and waited 5 minutes for anyone to come up to the counter and that was after the dad asked if they could order. It was not busy by any means, it was at 7:40-ish (not during a dinner rush). This was probably the worst fast food order I’ve ever gotten....
