Went into the store to find some sockets I needed. While checking through the aisles, I hear the way a cashier is talking to an elderly man. The elderly man supposedly asked for cash back, but the register didn’t open apparently. The cashier tried calling someone above her to get it open, but as they wait the man appeared to keep asking for his cash back and gives her a phone number; the cashier got aggravated and started to raise their tone to the elderly man. This was really upsetting to see the way she was talking to him. But that isn’t it. A woman behind the elderly man acknowledged the way this rude cashier was talking to him. They go on back and forth and then start cursing at each other. The customer service from that employee should be ashamed for talking to someone like that and I’m happy the woman stood up for him. I will not be going to this store anymore. Hopefully they learn to treat customers with respect. My whole family loves this store I hate to see it ruined by that cashier. Black Friday Weekend 2023 - Went Saturday mid-afternoon which fortunately wasn't overwhelmed with people. My mother hadn't been since it opened in Lake Jackson, so we decided to go. She found some items she needed to replace and was amazed at the prices... especially batteries. And I always find something I need - I had forgotten that I wanted and was excited to get the 18" magnetic tool bars at Black Friday prices...one for me and one for a friend who needs to organize or at least find his basic tools! HF has the best prices and a wide selection for tool, garage and home organization. Great prices and quality products, friendly and helpful staff, clean and organized store. Love this store. The employees are always helpful. But today, I ask the girl at the register if there was someone available to grab something for me. I told her I can't walk far. She says it's on row 18 in the middle section, you can walk there, it's not far. And pointed to the row. Maybe it wasn't far for someone who don't have mobility problems, but it was a hike for me. She never asked anyone if they could assist. She was like a robot at the register. Guess she doesn't like her job.a little empathy...
