Wow, this place is such a beautiful venue. I had my wedding here 3 weeks ago and it was almost a perfect event.
We apparently breached our contract with them by having our flower girl throw fake flower petals and the DJ shot confetti on the dance floor. Now, I have zero problem taking the blame and accepting the responsibility of breaching the contract. I didn’t realize we had done that but I’ll own that.
What I will not own and am extremely disappointed at is the manner in which the staff at the venue chose to handle the situation. One of the employees, right at the very end of our wedding decided he’d handle the situation by insulting, disrespecting and flat out aggressively speaking to my wife (the bride) in front of venders and more importantly our guests. The undeniable unprofessionalism of this individual was shocking. The next morning I called the venue to express my issue with how this was handled, while taking responsibility for any unintentional mistakes we had made. Gunner, who I spoke with said he head about the situation and said he would spoke to the employee about it. However, I received an email last week from them saying I had forfeited my deposit for breach of contract but made no mention of the incident, no apology or anything. I replied to the email, once again expressing my disappointment in the employees actions and the venues total lack of care regarding what took place. I stated that if I had been approached in a professional manner the situation could have been resolved with no major hiccup to the night.
Now as said above, I have zero issue with owning responsibility for the mistake we made. However, the employees of this venue clearly do not care how the wedding staff employees treat the guests, they didn’t even have the decency to reply or acknowledge my email. It truly is a shame as it not only left us with a sour note at the end of our wedding but has left a further sour note because the venue clearly doesn’t care about how they’re being represented or how their customers have been made to feel/disrespected.
I’m so upset by the lack of customer service here, I wanted to give it one star. But, I’m giving it two because both stars are for how beautiful the venue itself is. Unfortunately, the employees attitudes are...
Read moreHad my daughters wedding there this weekend. Let me start by saying the place is beautiful, very well maintained although can definitely use some upgrades. Outside of that, there was some things that was communicated when booking and paying our moneys, that changed the day of ceremony. During our reception we had neighbors walking up and down the streets then the COPS show up to advise that there are complaints that our music was to LOUD and advised us to instruct our DJ to turn the music down. Once we advised them that this was a wedding reception and the groom was a police officer- suddenly things were fine!!! Go figure that. Lastly, they only allow you to use there caterers. During our menu testing with the caterer that we choose from there list we advised her , that the food was a little bland for our taste and to please add seasonings- well we received the same bland food at the reception. All the guest were asking for salt and pepper and the food was more room temp, not hot. With that being said, if your merely looking for a beautiful view, which this location certainly has and limited vendors- go for it! But..... if your looking for a lifetime experience, there are certainly better options, especially with such a large...
Read moreOn 4/30/23 My husband and I got married at this venue. I'm happy to say LMEC is the only vendor that we had NO problems with. They were great. We had a tour, rehersal, ceremony, and reception here. It was beautiful. One thing I did not like about LMEC for a wedding is having to use one of the caterers off of their approved list. We did not have the best experience with our caterer (Magic Occasions) which we picked because they were the cheapest option, but was still over our original budget. We wish they let us pick whatever we wanted. Another downfall was that the rental was only for 8hrs, not the whole day. 8 hours is very fast because it had to include set up and clean up. We had to end the reception early because of a misunderstanding about time. So our reception was only 2 hours long, which sucked a lot. You can buy extra hours but its about $400 per hour and we couldn't afford to do that. They also had a bunch of smaller rules but nothing we couldn't work around. Good things about the venue included letting us move the ceremony inside the day before due to bad weather and great communication from the people who work there. Overall I'm glad we went...
