Positanos Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Township

Where to start? Okay, I feel like a total traitor. Connie's has been my favorite stuffed pizza ever since I was a kid. When I moved to the southwest side 2 years ago, I bragged to my family...Connie's delivers to me! I have been trying all the pizza places in the area (Pizza is my favorite food), but I wasn't impressed. A pizza delivery guy told me about Positanos, said it was better then Connies. So, I finally ordered delivery last night. Here are my thoughts:

Holy cow! This large stuffed pizza had to weigh at least 10 lbs! It was so heavy because there was so much cheese and the perfect amount of sauce on top. What a beautiful pizza it was!

I couldn't believe the price! No where else can you get a large stuffed pizza delivered for so much less than $30.

The taste...was that pizza guy right? Is Positano's stuffed pizza truly better than Connies? YES. I feel like a Sox fan that now roots for the Cubs. I actually brought a slice to work with me for lunch today and ate it with Connie's plastic ware 😯 The sauce is the right amount of chunky, sweet, savory, and garlic to satisfy this garlic lover and not too overpowering for regular people like my hubby. The cheese....cheese for days. The tasty, buttery crust: not too thick on the bottom which allowed for more cheese and sauce.

Connies, for sure, has the experience. The bread, the atmosphere, all those sauce cans all over the place, all of that space...but Positano's has the best stuffed pizza on the southwest side. Also, the price is more than right.

One more thing: When I called to place my order, I needed the delivery driver to know my buzzer code. The worker taking my order put the delivery driver on to talk to me. I thought that was really cool.

I saw some reviews that were less than 5 stars, due to the small restaurant. Thet makes me really sad. It's a pizza place, guys. Get your pizza to go, or get it delivered! If you need to sit, sit! What more so you...

I have ordered pizza from the restaurant a couple times in the past. The last time I had a delivery my order was wrong. I was willing to give them another chance calling in the order and picking it up myself. I called in giving them over an hour to have my order ready for a specific time. They advised me that it would be ready for pickup at the time I requested. I get there and of course it wasn't ready. I paid and waited thinking it shouldn't be that long of a wait. During that time I witnessed the cook preparing pizzas but also going back and forth to the front counter, and answering phones then back to working on pizzas without washing his hands. I find his this to be quite disgusting. It was at that moment I asked for a refund. The cashier was reluctant to give me my refund stating that I paid less than what they actually charged me, wanting me to give them back more money than I was given in change. which makes me question that they overcharged me. Especially after looking at the menu, the cost with tax was definitely less than what I paid. Never got a receipt. I'll...

Pizza was ordered and my order was recieved wrong the first time around so they decided they would give is a credit because they were closing.We order out credit pizza Only To Get $5 taken Off the bill Mind you The the original Cost spend for pizza the 1st time was $40 we order our "credit pizza" and was told only 5$ would come off which if yu ask me Thats Only delivery fee!
