A great deli in the NYC tradition! A little bit of everything and EXACTLY what you need! And the nicest staff! Went in there, hoping against hope to find a phone charger...not only did they have an array of chargers, the owner made sure it fit my Android phone (yes, they have Apple!) and that the unit wld charge. If it didn't work, I was not obligated to buy the contents of the pkgs he opened. The ping of my charging phone! Awesome! And so cheap! Great charger, long cord, for quite a few bucks less than I paid on Amazon! I love this place! Chaotic and yet organized! This transplanted NY'r felt right at home! Love New American! This store is terrible! They overcharge on everything in the store from bubble gum all the way up to tobacco products. On top of them taxing the products individually, As if you're doing separate transactions for everything. Then if you are using a card they charge you a dollar fee. Her and her son charges people different prices . When you explain to them about what's going on they are always rude and have attitudes. Not to mention most of their products are outdated . I will never spend my money in this...

They charged me $3.49 for a $2.49 bottle and told me it was the taxes and card fee. I went down the street and I paid $2.79 for the same $2.49 bottle after everything. No card fee and was nowhere near the exorbitant 20% tax rate New American Food Mart charged. These guys are running a scheme at the checkout hoping you don’t notice the 20% tax overcharge when it’s half that everywhere else. Owners trying to call reviews fake cause they got exposed.
