My friend and I decided to visit this shop as we walked downtown Lake Worth and the experience wasn’t pleasant at all. We walked into the shop and my friend greeted the lady, however, the lady just stared at her and did not even response. That’s fine, that wasn’t the problem. The problem wasn’t till afterwards she goes and comment, “Do you guys know what kind of store this is? A designer store.” Which, we understood, as my friend enjoys visiting vintage places and buying pieces of pre-own vintage clothing. My friend replied, “yes my love” and proceeded to walk to check out the clothing, but the lady then goes, “well right here is our sale selection, buy one item and get one free.” It’s as if, in an instant, she just judged that we could not afford the items or just did not want us to check out the store. She watched us intensely, it was uncomfortable. I wasn’t even comfortable to check out the clothing because of that.
However, the most outrageous thing was that she faked a compliment only to insult my friend afterwards.
The ladies goes on and says, “That’s a lovely skirt you have, is it vintage” My friend responses with, “ahaha no, I wish.” The lady then goes, “ahaha yeah I did not think so.”
After witnessing that interaction, I was annoyed and felt disrespected for her and I, it’s only natural to feel angry about it. No one deserves treatment like this.
My friend proceed to walk to my other friend and said, “I want to go.” due to the unwelcomeness we received.
We left and she goes on to say, “have a good day.” Which I responded, “We suree hope so, you too have a good day.” As then she tried redirecting us to another vintage store around the corner after only wanting us there for a “bit to look around.”
Afterwards, we looked at the review she receive and others have experience rudeness and disrespect, which tells a lot about...
Read moreI’ve shopped here for almost 20 years — I bought my first pair of designer shoes from Judy (Gucci wedges) and then passed them down to my daughter. I have NEVER had a bad experience. Every visit is like an education in fashion and a treasure hunt. Judy knows fashion with the best of them — and she is kind and welcoming to EVERYONE — she embraced me when I was a raggedy 20-something with very little to spend (and years later, around a size 14 after I had kids), and she continues to give me the same kind, respectful, and insightful service today. NO MATTER MY SIZE OR APPEARANCE, I ALWAYS FOUND SOMETHING AND I WAS ALWAYS TREATED WITH RESPECT AND KINDNESS.
This is my favorite store in Palm Beach County. The thrill of finding a dress by your favorite designer that fits you like a glove is absolutely priceless. It’s also where I bring my daughter to teach her about the different designers. It’s worth a visit! You’re SURE to find something fabulous — the jewelry is an amazing deal and don’t skip the shoes!!!
Thank you, Judy, for 20 years of incredible fashion and memories! Please save me those gorgeous Pucci dresses until we get...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I walked in and instantly I felt uncomfortable. The two women at the front looked at us like a deer in headlight. Perhaps we don’t look like the typical high end consignment shoppers. I have dreads and he’s covered in tattoos. But their faces and attitudes were less than welcoming. Even after cracking a joke, they didn’t warm up. I wanted to find a cool new blazer and they showed me where they were. They watched me like a hawk to the point where I decided I didn’t want to patronize the business. I hope they learn not to judge a book by its cover. I’m an attorney and almost exclusively buy my blazers from consignment since I love getting something vintage. They definitely lost a...
