The most unpleasant uncomfortable shopping experience EVERY time.Today was the last straw coming there. After work in my work uniform and still was watched like a hawk . Then going to checkout was asked for ID ..cool no problem I get it , “I look young”.But in a flight attendant uniform I stated As a joke “you have to at least be 21 to be a flight attendant “ he literally says he has seen people dress up as things falsely. Also double checked the price of the wine. Verified my $20 bills then questioned the last name on my Binnys account which is under my husbands name. Literally it shouldn’t be such a hassle to pick up two bottles of wine after work . Wheres the friendly service? they literally treat you like you’re criminal. Buying wine should be a pleasant experience My husband and I have spent thousands at Binnys over the years this is literally the last straw. I don’t know what scare tactic they are training their employees with but almost every Binnys its the same vibe of feeling like your under surveillance . Please do better. As convenient for me to run to Binnys I will be spending my money elsewhere. I can’t help but wonder if race /age played a part in this because I didn't see the old white lady getting asked 21...

Service has gone downhill. TL;DR - manager was condescending and dismissive. Barely could be bothered to look up from his desk.

I dropped by to grab a few things. Grabbed some cigars, and ended up grabbing about $300 with of bourbon and beers. With a full cart, I stopped at the customer service counter to ask if they had any Blanton's, Eagle Rare, or Weller in. The manager behind the counter looked me up and down in a very dismissive manner (it was blatant, I am not an overly sensitive person) and just muttered there was some buffalo Trace elsewhere. He went back to whatever he was looking at in his computer. This store does keep those items in the back - and they don't sell it unless you ask, so it at least used to be a valid question.

He was visually inconvenienced and offended for some reason. While I don't spend tens of thousands a year, I am sure I've spent into the 5 figures with binnys over the past 19 years - between Buffalo Grove, Arlington heights, Schaumburg and Lake Zurich. Really depends on the day how you will get treated here. Waited 3 hours for a shipment of beer and was number 3 in line. The staff put it in a corner didn't let people know who showed up first that the beer was out and someone who was in the top 5 didn't get the beer. They then limited to 1 4 pack instead of 1 4 pack per type of beer. When I was driving away 3 people walked out with all 3 styles which isn't right as the rule changed within 15 minutes of it being on the shelves. Really depends on the day how you will be treated here. Flip a coin on great service where they really help you or subpar with episodes...
