I placed an order on March 1 for a mid-May wedding, and the order somehow got lost. It seems like the only reason it was followed up on was because I asked and caused a last-minute scramble. Otherwise, I may never have gotten the suit. Then, when it finally came in 6 days before my wedding, it was a TERRIBLE fit. The sleeves were over an inch too long, the back was too tight, the pants legs too long, the seat too tight, the coat too long, the vent was sticking out, the list goes on. After nobody answered the phone on several attempts, my email was answered by asking for proof that the suit didn't fit, rather than just letting me come in to get it fixed like I asked. I took time off work to send in the pictures immediately, but they were closed for 2 days, leaving me with no suit and no way to contact them until 3 days before the wedding. I scrambled to find a competent tailor that could make the extensive alterations in just 3 or 4 days and ended up having to pay over $300. All of this searching and extra appointments during the week of my wedding when I should be thinking about bachelor parties and rehearsal dinners. I'm extremely disappointed that Mr. Tux failed to provide a well-fitting suit (their core service), and all the more frustrated that the suit was so late that I was left with less than a week to fix their mistakes at my own expense. When I asked about a partial refund (at least for the cost of alterations) they only offered a rebate on my next purchase. To make things worse, it turns out I overpaid for the quality of suit I received, even after a discounted price for bundling with Volle's Bridal (who are great and my new wife really enjoyed working with). The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because even though they were unhelpful, they were at least polite during the avoidable fiasco, and they say they've updated their...
Read moreWe really loved the outcome for my husband and groomsmen in the tuxes rented from Mr. Tux! They made returning them and picking them up easy and they were beautiful suits! The photos show it! Online appointments and texting when the tuxes were in was so easy! Getting to the result here, we had a few hiccups that they did fix, but was a tad stressful. A few of the guys' measurements were off when they went to pick up, and we were told that they had a suit for our ring bearer which turns out that they didn't have one that small - so we were scrambling a little. They made it all right and found suits that worked for the guys so all worked out well in the end. This is 100% due to Shirley! She saved the day on many occasions. Fixed the measurements, realized our original order was wrong, caught that they didn't have a tux small enough for the ring bearer and she gave me alternate solutions for every hiccup. She is the reason I'm giving this as many stars as I am. She made it all work out and found me solutions, quickly. She was a joy to work with and I hope she continues to bring her skills to Mr. Tuxes. All in all, I would use them again and would recommend them.
Thank you all for the...
Read moreI was a bit hesitant to go to a tux/suit rental establishment based on prior experience. I am a plus size woman who wears men clothing and not all places are inclusive. Mr. Tux’s Formal Wear in Lake Zurich stated on their site that they were LGBTQIA friendly, so I agreed to give them a try. I could tell from the moment that I walked into the door that they were a friendly and welcoming establishment. Sherry and Wendy were the absolute best! They took their time to find me the right suit and the right fit. They were warm and welcoming and so kind. We laughed together the whole time too! I am so pleased with my experience. 10/10 would recommend. Especially if you are part of the queer community and don’t wanna deal with being judged. I am going to look so dapper; I cannot wait! Thank you Sherry and Wendy for a...
