I Came in today to return a pair of Steve Madden dress shoes that I have owned for 35 days that are detaching from the soles in 4 different places. I explained I was on vacation the prior week and didn't get the chance to run them in to exchange them. The manager said that the shoes didn't look new so she wouldnt be able to exchange them, I explained to her that I work in an office and even park my vehicle in my garage so the fact that the shoes would not hold up longer than a month means there has to be a defect. She still refused to return the shoe and was reluctant to give me a contact to report a complaint. When they did give me a corporate number to a Secretary the representative actually smiled and said you can call but it will just get directed back to us so you won't get anywhere. Is that a joke, the whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and I can honestly say I will drive past a Dillard's now to go to another store for buying my dress clothes for work. I would be more than happy to send photos of the shoes, the manager couldnt even show me one place on the shoes that were scuffed or marked. It's just sad she wasn't willing to stand behind what her store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were shopping g for special occasion attire and specifically my husband, who doesn't dress up. And I had no clue as to where to start. We wandered about for a few minutes and I could already start to feel tension building as we weren't able to put things together. A sportcoat, some jeans, dress shoes and a few shirts. Well our department sales lady named Heather came over and started to measure my husband's neck and arm as we clearly didn't know where to start. She immediately created a repore that put my husband and I at ease. She listened respectfully to our comments and concerns, showed several options in the shirt department and also noted the costs as reflected by the posted sale prices. Then the Sportcoat went from very expensive to one more affordable, a perfect color and fit. Then she took us to the jeans which were just nothing to be found but the shoes were not only a good fit but a wonderful price. Now we can go to our semi formal event as confident and well dressed as the newlyweds had hoped we would be. Great personality, very accommodating and clearly knows her stuff. Thank you Heather, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read morerecently purchased a pair of shoes from Dillardās, and unfortunately, they caused severe blisters and bleeding after just one wear. When I approached the store to return or exchange them, I was told that since the shoes had been worn, they couldnāt be returned. Instead, I was advised to ābreak them in,ā which is unacceptable given the pain they caused.
Dillardās return policy states that items must be in their original, unused condition with tags attached to be eligible for return within 30 days. However, there are exceptions for defective or damaged items. I believe shoes that cause injury upon first use should fall under this category. ļæ¼
Itās disappointing that customer comfort and well-being arenāt prioritized. I hope Dillardās reconsiders its stance on such matters to ensure better customer satisfaction...
