I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received during my recent visit. I came in ready to purchase a mattress and ask a simple delivery question, but was repeatedly ignored by mattress department staff despite making clear eye contact. When I finally received assistance from Josh in another department, he was professional and helpful—thank you for acknowledging me, Josh. However, my experience deteriorated when I returned to the mattress department. The salesperson I approached claimed they couldn’t access their computer system to check delivery times for a same-day purchase. As I was leaving, Josh got my attention and told me to go to Guest Services. After waiting 10 minutes at Guest Services, where three staff members were assisting one customer, when I got a window to interrupt, I was told they were too busy to help me… probably because 1 customer needs three workers to hold the customers hand and kiss their feet. Read moreMy husband and I have been shopping at the Lakeville HOM Furniture for the past 10+ years. Recently we stopped in to look for an ottoman; not a big purchase but we had specifics that made it a little challenging. We decided to ask for assistance and very soon Emily W. was there to help. With a friendly greeting and a big smile, she listened to what we were looking for. Without hesitation (or having to reference supplier books), Emily directed us to a couple of options.
We immediately decided to special order an ottoman. Emily helped us through the process and made sure we understood that with production timelines and the manufacturer's location, we would not be able to receive the piece until April. It is a sign of the times.
My husband and I do tend to enjoy interactive conversations and can get a bit off topic; Emily kept up with us and never once made us feel like we were taking too much of her time.

Read moreEverything was fine except one issue I had. I bought a new couch and ottoman and had them delivered. I was told that to have it delivered and brought into my house and placed in the room I wanted and to have all of the cardboard and plastic removed with the delivery people, as opposed to having it just dropped on my front door for me to deal with it on my own, it was going to cost me $170. It sounded as if it was going to be a big deal and there was going to be a lot more trash than my trash bins could handle and so I regrettably agreed to it and paid it. I really wish that they would’ve informed me that if I just had one other person to help me, I could’ve done it myself and that there would be hardly any cardboard to throw away. $170 is awfully steep for what these two kids did upon delivery. I feel like I dropped almost $200 extra just as a last attempt to stick it to me for extra money. If anyone reads this, just knock on a neighbors door and ask for 5 minutes of their time. It’s not worth the extra money they gouge you for. I’m pissed about that....
