Store had recently been remodeled and you can tell they are trying to keep it cleaner. They seem to be emulating a high end store, and it looks ok but the quality and the prices aren't great. They raised the prices on almost everything but they have less selection and the quality isn't worth the new price. They are also really trying to push the self check out. Usually one register open until the line is out into the store, then they open another. I feel bad for the cashier, they are always swamped. One or two self check outs it's enough. They need more actual registers open and cashier's to fill them. I know Target doesn't appreciate it's team members or having to pay them but the reality is you need more cashier's. Why have ten lanes of registers and only one open?

Terrible customer service. They had me standing in the checkout while they stood around and chit chat. I stood there for 10 minutes and they didn't even try to help or let me know if they were going to because it wouldn't take my card. Well I know i had sufficient amount on there to cover it and pay the rest with cash, but all she did was ask the I ther worker to handle it. Then they proceeded to make me stand there and look stupid waiting for them to eventually not help me. I had to just walk out and leave my things behind because I refuse to stand around any longer as they continue to ignore me. Do not recommend going here!!

There is a first for everything!! Self check out lines backed up.... 4 self checkout registers and about 15 people in line. With a target employee directing traffic. One regular register open with 3 people in that line. For a second I thought I was at Walmart lol but it actually didn't take to long so I can't complain too much....lol

Monday, 9pm, Target: An older gentleman was in the middle of a transaction with his cashier, and was almost finished and ready to pay. His cashier stopped what she was doing to talk to someone in the middle of helping the gentleman. I am sure this other person worked at target, but she didn’t have on a uniform so to the man he saw her as a friend or another customer. He wanted to finish his transaction, but was clearly being ignored at this time. He asked why they were talking. Why did they have to talk while he was in the middle of his transaction. Why did the girl have to watch while he paid? They told him pretty much to mind his business. So he kept asking. They called over the 18 year old security boy who obviously did NOT have training in customer service or de-escalation, and said the gentleman was raising his voice and being disruptive. The security boy didn’t ask follow up questions. Didn’t ask the other person to walk away. He immediately told the gentleman to lower his voice; which you could barely hear. The gentleman asked why the girl had to be with the cashier while people were giving out credit card/money information. They let him pay, but security boy kept telling him he had to leave before he had time to gather his items. Then clearly the older gentleman asked why security was calling the police, and security said because he wouldn’t leave when asked. He literally just completed his transaction!!! The older gentleman asked to speak to the manager and security said no. He asked again to speak to the manager and he was told that all the managers went home, and he would have to come another day! Everyone felt bad for the cashier. I don’t think anyone should be talking to the cashiers while they are helping customers. It’s a great chance for errors, issues, poor work ethics, etc. As a customer, it’s annoying to have someone stop what they are doing or spend the whole transaction talking about about personal stuff that no one cares about. That is what breaks are supposed to be used for!!! The gentleman just didn’t want other people around who didn’t need to be there. And no one asked him what was wrong or how they could help him. They assumed he was a problem, and treated him poorly. Mind you, I will be telling everyone about poor customer service at Target Lakewood...

While the store was clean and well stocked, a significant portion of the inventory is behind lock and key and requires you waiting for someone to come around and grant you access. This includes soap, detergent, underwear, and many other essential items. Since you are allowed to just grab it and put it in your cart after the unlock, I wonder what the criteria is for being able to ask for the item. I heard several other customers in the same area complaining about what was locked up. Later, I need assistance for getting an item from electronics and was met with person that displayed more disdain for existence than I have ever encountered. Every moment was her looking at me or my partner completely pissed off that we were even there. After she angrily rung up our cart after telling us we had to do it at her counter, she walked away and we got an eye rolling annoyed look when I asked her about how we should get bags. It was so intense, my partner asked her if we did anything directly to make her mad. She said no, she was just annoyed with her day. My partner and I both have long careers in retail and customer service and we left the store completely jarred This Target proves that you are better off ordering online and not bothering going into a store anymore, which makes me sad because I honestly love the store experience. This will be my...

Cool place to shop, but I feel the workers could be a little more helpful as I've been here many times, and tried to find a worker to ask a question, and literally couldn't find one worker, anywhere, to ask a question, and I walked up and down the entire store, but then all of a sudden, they must have thought I was going to steal, because here is security, randomly acting like he is shopping in the section that I'm in, while he's on duty, and working, lol. And I hear someone on his walkytalky, saying something about keeping an eye on the guy in the toy section and I was the only person in the whole toy section, and it was like you think I'm going to steal, a dang Hot Wheel car, that's like $1.20, lol. No lie , this happened, and honestly made me mad, and I wanted to ask him why he's standing right next to me acting like he's shopping while at work, and you think I'm going to steal anything, but a Hot Wheel out of Anything, when I can buy anything I want in the whole store,, go find a real shoplifter and leave the paying customers alone, because that's what you're doing, so don't look dirty, like you just got off work, and tired cuz they will think your a homeless, shoplifter probably, and that was just my thoughts about it, and not everyone else's thoughts...
