This store is absolutely disgusting and I would never shop here ever again in my life I needed to move money from one of my accounts and my phone died. They charged my card anyways, And took the account balance of 29.61 that I had in my checking While the other money was in my savings, apparently they cannot refund my money back at that moment and I needed to get some juice because I was having a low blood sugar , funny that Marshall’s advocates for diabetes foundation and they expect people to give them donations, but when a person is having a diabetic low blood sugar, a 1.49 cent drink, they could not be bothered Allowing for me to drink some of it while my blood sugar was coming up. I also happen to be five months pregnant, "carol" Was absolutely disgusting and rude to me starting by telling me I have no reason to call the police. when I told her I may need to call emergency services due to the sugar and not being able to receive my money back after they charged my card , she stated that If anything I would need to call the paramedics not 911 and Explicitly said in her own Words "There is a big difference" But there really isn’t because my doctor instructed me to call 911 if I’m having a dangerously low blood sugar which I’m going to post pictures in the photo drop of the time that I left Marshalls versus my blood sugar. She asked somebody to go in the back and grab "one mint " for me no more no less , Anybody who is a diabetic knows it takes at least 15 g of carbohydrates to raise a blood sugar that low And had I known that my money would not be returned I would never have even tried to purchase any of the stuff . she spoke to me in front of everyone as if I came in there for free candy or something lol Broadcasting my situation through the entire store so everybody could hear And proceeded to act like I did not have any money By saying "I can’t just give you free stuff "when my card only declined for a specific amount . I was absolutely humiliated luckily the Dollar Tree next-door decided that they would wait for me to charge my phone and allowed me to have a drink in the meantime bc you know it’s only 1$ And luckily, they had human decency so that I would not need to call the Paramedics unlike unprofessional Marshalls employees Who really lost a $50 sale over 1$ If I knew that somebody was pregnant and diabetic, I would’ve pulled $1.49 out of my pocket Or purse, even if it was not my responsibility, especially if I know that I charged this person’s card and there was just a balance instead she shouted that she could not give me something for free how embarrassing ?As if I did not come in there with my own money ! And I’m completely disoriented treating me like I’m some sort of homeless person when I shop there pretty often . they should be ashamed of themselves treating a pregnant diabetic this way I’d give, no stars if I could and Don’t even bother asking people for donations for the diabetic foundation you guys do not care about diabetics … I find it ironic there was a broadcast from the speaker saying that they had a goal to make $30 by the end of the night but they wouldn’t even spare $1.49 for someone who’s pregnant That could have compromised my baby ? of course I’m upset about it, but it’s OK. Read moreDONT WORK HERE OR FOR ANY TJX COMPANY. If I could give a zero star I would. The management here at the lakewood location is disgusting. Multiple times I have overheard managers talking about their employees, saying horrible things, complaining about small things, how their employee looks and dressed, complaining about an employee who uses they/them pronouns. Getting upset over how long lines are and behing understaffed while not actively trying to help what so ever. I would avoid shopping here or ever working at this location like the plague. There's a reason this location is always hiring... and this is why. I cant believe management, especially the store manager, i think her name is Daniell?(probably spelt her name wrong) I watched while waiting in line telling someone they couldn't accept a return, with tags and receipts, because they went to wash brand new bedding and it instantly came out destroyed. The return policy is right behind the registers! The item didn't get used, just washed like everyone does (should do) when buying new bedding or clothes. So unprofessional. Highly highly disgusting, disappointed, and overall never shopping at that location or possibly ever with any tjx company again. This isn't the first tjx company I've seen management in the presence of customers talk horribly about their employees...
